Absolutely fantastic! The food at Kimu is several levels above the popular chain sushi places we had been going before.

The portions were larger than expected, the freshness is very palpable, and the presentation is very pleasing to the eyes and mouth!

The staff were exceedingly friendly, courteous, and helpful.

If you are interested in excellent sushi and sashimi, Kimu is the place to go.

UPDATE: As appears to often be the case, many establishments can be hit and miss. NOT the case here. Our third visit is excellent on every level. My distended abdomen speaks volumes to the irresistible selections!“

“The first time we experienced billet train sushi was in Vancouver. Delivery was quicker and location was fine. This time we went to Point Sushi in Calgary. Place is located near China Town (have nothing against it), they have their own parkade with surveillance, but you do park at your own risk I'd day, since there's no gate. Parkade is for about 10-12 cars... At the entrance of the parkade youllyfind dumpsters for recycle but the whole parkade smells like 💩 . A good sized restaurant but delivery was slower.. It's still a good place to have some dinner for a reasonably good price for a family of 5.“

“This mall might not have anything great, this incredible spot that serves the most delicious sushi you’ll find in Calgary. Everything is super fresh they make plenty each day and the deal is unbeatable: buy one for around $8 and get the second for just $1. The salmon sashimi cuts were fresh and thick; the California rolls were refreshing (with cucumber); the salads had a really nice homemade Japanese dressing on them without being drenched and the grilled teriyaki chicken dinner was outstanding - totally generous on the portion front. The prices are also very fair!

“this is a small cute restaurant in the Kensington area., they have a very unique way to represent the sushi and it is inside the tofu skin , the sushi pockets are okay , nothing amazing or extraordinary , portions are okay too, big and filling

I ordered their pocket holic special, which comes with udon, pocket sushi and miso which is a good deal if you want to try few things in their menu

For the udon, i tried the Rose Tteokbokki Udon , its creamy with a hint of sweetness and the spiciness is just right., its like tteokbokki without the rice cake, they forgot my fish cake with it but when i told the server , they wanted to make me a new bowl but i told them , they just can give me the fish cake on the side which they did and its so good with it too

The soy sauce in brewed in house and I'll need to come back to actually try it on something, as the set menu was seasoned, but the spoonful i had was delicious. Nice place!“

“It was my first time to dine here and it was really crowded when we got there. Good thing we booked in advance, I advise you do the same. Tried the all you can eat dinner and there is a wide range of food variety which is not just limited to Japanese. They have Thai dishes as well. Food taste great. They have a system where you order food from an app which you scan at your phone. Some of the orders may take a while to arrive so you have to consider that when ordering. The staff were polite too. Will definitely go back.“

We each had a delicious meal of chef's selection of sashimi, sushi, and tempura. Really great service. We learned it's family business that's been there since 1983.
