“I had Seafood Laksa & Hainan Chicken !!!They were just amazing that Banana Leaf restaurant become my No.1 Malay cuisine spot! They were both very authentic flavours without any doubt, and they had full of stuffs in. I saw the menu and felt little bit pricy, but they were more than worth for the price. Portions were also big that my husband and I finished all super full even we had some cakes on the way to restaurant (We usually do not eat much that we eat like 1.5 portions together). But we could not make any leftover ! I am very glad to have best Malaysian cuisine in Calgary ❤️ *Hainan Chicken dish, i am not sure why they thought not many people like cucumber so that they did not give us although we love it. So, please mention ‘Cucumber’ for Hainan Chicken dish order if you want 10/10 authentic style :) I do recommend this place to anyone wants Malay, and I will be back again definitely ?*No Credit Card accepted!“
“Hurry up, clean your kitchen and open back up. Please, please add deep fried oyster mushrooms to your menu please. I can't wait to try taiwanese food in Alberta as I just moved here from Vancouver. Let's increase the amount of Asian restaurants and people visiting. Let's put Vancouver to shame! I am missing authentic Chinese food as an Asian who just moved here. I'm really missing the food and culture.“
“I am a Taiwanese and the food has similar resemblance to what you would expect in Taiwan. We ordered beef noodle soup , beef and tendon soup. Pot stickers and fried chicken.I was having difficulty finding a place to have Taiwanese beef noodle soup in Calgary and it tastes really good!Fried chicken is also one of the best I have had in Calgary and it is crispy and flavourful.Potstickers was also crispy in the outside and flavourful as well.I would definitely come and have food again:)“
“Second time ordering so it wasn’t a 1 off. Best Chinese food I’ve probably ever had.. beef and broccoli- great. Spring rolls- great. Chicken chow mein- great. Fried rice- great. Ginger beef- great! I never post reviews but had to for this. Bon appetite :))“
“My partner and I just moved from the states and found this gem of a place. It was hard to find boba tea... well "good" boba tea in NC. Out here in Calgary, there seems to be plenty to go around! Happy Tea is by far my favorite! I've tried the majority of their fruit teas. Pineapple, peach, green apple, lemon, passion fruit, grapefruit, lychee. My favourite so far is the passion fruit but I'm also a big fan of the lemon as well as the pineapple and peach. I'm not big into the milk teas but I plan to work my way into trying the slush drinks as well. I like adding the lychee popping pearls in the fruit teas. My partner enjoys getting the brown sugar milk tea. Although she wishes they had an oat milk option, she still enjoys the drink and orders it every time. The staff are always super friendly and the place is always very clean. Glad there is a place walking distance that we enjoy so much.“
“I usually order the chicken nuggets or popcorn chicken and I must say this is my favorite. The spices they use are what I'm looking for in fried chicken. The drinks are ok, nothing to rave about. The basic milk tea are not bad, anything beyond that need improvement - slush was still icy. I removed 1 star for the drinks - after all I was there for the chicken.Pricing I believe is on par with a lot of places in Calgary - it's quite expensive now with quick meals averaging 15-18 per person in local establishments. I'm not saying this is cheap, but I can see why it's priced like this.Overall, I recommend the chicken!“
