“For me, this is one of the few Vietnamese bakeries in Calgary that truly tastes like “banh mi” back home in Vietnam. The bread is always fresh, crispy on the outside, and packed with delicious fillings.

The owner is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about her customers, which makes every visit a great experience. My favorite are the Cold Cut Sub and Pork Belly Sub—both are flavorful, authentic, and always satisfying.

I also recommend their herbal tea and pandan coconut jelly—they’re both refreshing and delicious. Definitely one of my favorite places for authentic Vietnamese flavors!“

“I’ve been coming to this Vietnamese restaurant for over 20 years, and it’s still one of my absolute favorites. The satè phở is amazing - always piping hot, incredibly flavorful, and consistently satisfying every single time.

I also love that they open at 9am - it’s such a treat to be able to enjoy a comforting bowl of phở for breakfast! And their cà phê sữa đá is a must - rich, bold, and the perfect pairing with any meal.

“When I work on the east end of town, I always try to bring home some Pho from Pho 26. My favorite and after trying many other similar restaurants, Pho 26 tops them all!!“

“Been coming with my family for over 12 years. Always order the Special, and while it has declined in flavour over the years, it still hits the spot. The blinds have never been cleaned for as long as I know. They no longer play music, some seats have open wounds, and the area is kind of sketchy but we keep coming back. They’d do well with some remodeling.“

“Saigon Deli (Banh Mi Saigon) is a great spot for Vietnamese subs. The bánh mì here is really good—fresh bread, flavorful fillings, and a nice balance of textures.

What stood out the most is that my kids have tried bánh mì from many places across Canada, from Vancouver to Toronto, and this is the one they like the most. That says a lot.“

The different meats in the dishes we ordered were perfectly done and the soup was delicious.
