“I rarely order anything other than steak at Hy's. I ate a lot of beef that week so I decided to order their prawn and scallop dish. My guest ordered steak and we're all very satisfied with their meals. Mine on the other hand was not good. The shrimp were over cooked and the scallops had no colour in them. Gordon Ramsey would have never let those scallops leave the kitchen. I will order the steak next time.“

For casual meet up. This is a fairly small location, but the smell of wood fire and the atmosphere rear warm and friendly.

The smoked olives were fantastic.

“I was here on business and had come because of reading previous reviews. I was not disappointed. The cocktails were on point, and the chicken liver was amazing. Highly recommended. I had the grilled coulotte and it was perfectly done at medium rare. Would definitely recommend the chocolate chart to finish things off.

I came twice in total, once on a weeknight and once on Friday night. Wasn't super busy, I was see the promptly.

Updated review, I have changed my star rating from 3 to 4, all thanks to Lauryn, she was fabulous, I didn't like our table seating (right by the doors in the bar at 3 wobbly tables). We didn't have a huge bill but most of our party had multiple alcoholic beverages.“

“It’s been awhile since me and my wife have been to RGE RD, great atmosphere, delicious food and awesome staff. Did not disappoint. We both decided to do the road trip 6 course meal. It was delicious.“

“Pretty decent place to eat. Brought the wife and kids here a number of times. Food has almost always been excellent. Sometimes we've gotten cold food. Only ever had one issue with a waitress. She acted very high and mighty. She wasn't too keen on fixing a mistake on our order. I will say I haven't seen that waitress again so there's that. We will continue to come here from time to time.“

“Very good takeout experience overall. Food was prepared swiftly, staff were polite, and the serving sizes feel very generous for their price—you definitely get what you pay for. Good place to grab a standard Donair, but I would also recommend their other dishes as well. I was surprised by how delicious the butter chicken poutine turned out to be, and if you ever stop by Wok Donair yourself, you would be remiss not to try it.“

“Its a little local hole in the wall thats family run. All day breakfast for dirt cheap and was well cooked. They do have some Ukrainian fare like cabbage rolls and perogies (they were really good), surprisingly good coffee too. All in all a good place for a cheap meal esp one thats local run and would recommend at least once if you're on 118“

“I was there for work trip last week September, would have 2 meals at Ricky's, breakfast and lunch. Due to staying at Holiday Inn, participants received a ticket for breakfast each of the four days, you would see and get recognized by lunch on 1st day and remainder of stay until Thursday. Always greeted with a good morning and smile, the breakfast options filled the bill, I usually picked either pancakes or omelette option. Lunch was same, polite, quick service and great meals. Thank you!!“

“Service at the start was good but then it got to the point that we had to ask another employee for what we wanted, that person never came back. Then some time later our original server showed up. That took even more time to process our request. Food was fantastic, ( always seems to be so compliments to the kitchen) we arrived (around 6pm) after our Elvis show at River Cree was over. We recommend the food, hope that you get a better server. Management should be stopping at tables asking how things are.“

“We did the all you can eat ribs and it was delicious. Our server Nate was so kind and came around frequently asking for our next order so it was prepared when our first order was done, we were never out of ribs! The sauce flavors were great and the beans and corn bread was a great side!!“

“As I work out of town and wanted to have a nice brunch with kids and chose 4404 despite not out of the park guest ratings. I will say I am surprised and how every negative review doesn’t seem valid.
The buffet spread is impressive with regular continental and on top a carving station, live omelette station, charcuterie board, many different baked goods, salmon, chicken cordon bleu and much more.
The servers were attentive and friendly.

“I love this place always has me coming back. The appetizers are great (I love the buffalo chicken bombs) and prices and portions are amazing.
The only thing so far I don’t recommend is the steak sandwich as it just tastes kind of bland but everything else I’ve had is wonderful.

I had the potstickers and fries - an unusual combination, but a perfect lunch. After finishing the lunch, the server convinced me to have a small brownie - another treat. “The service depends on which server you get lucky with. Today, my mom and I went for late lunch here as we normally do and we liked it a lot more today than usual.

“MEAT is a well-known spot in Edmonton, and I’ve been here several times over the years. I usually go for the beef brisket or the ribs, both solid choices. I also recommend the mac & cheese or a jumbo pickle on the side—something about their mac & cheese just hits right every time, and clearly I’m not the only one who thinks so.

I will say the ribs can be a bit hit-or-miss. There have been times they came out more crispy than expected, almost burnt, while other visits they were cooked perfectly. It really seems to depend on the day.
Overall, still a reliable place to grab barbecue, and when they’re on point, it’s great.“
