Overall good experience- my only nitpicks are my burger was a tad overcooked and the service was a little slow, considering they were not busy when I got there. Great beer on tap. The bar counter was amazingly NOT STICKY! So many places forget to clean the counter regularly but these ones are all over it, haha.
A really Irish pub, not just Irish in name only.
Awesome 👌

O'Byrne's Irish Pub - Whyte Ave offers food that is amazing and delicious, with an electric atmosphere, especially during events like the FIFA World Cup. The vines are good, and the staff are really great, often handling issues with disrespectful or creepy customers to make guests feel safe. However, the service can be extremely slow, so guests going before a concert or game should give themselves lots of time. Some servers have been super dismissive or struggled with their section, leaving tables with dirty dishes and empty glasses for too long. Line ups to go inside are absolutely insane on weekends, and sometimes customers are insanely disrespectful. Despite these issues, the food and atmosphere are positives, and many would return. A 14-year-old was allowed in for dinner before a concert. One guest noted the atmosphere was electric watching Canada score six goals, while another enjoyed the food and service but asked to turn down the volume.
