Good experience and food!
I landed in Lake Louse, late in the day and looked for a restaurant that was open. This was all I found. $40 with tip was a bit of s high price for 5 chicken strips and fries but the place is a very nice atmosphere so probably has hight overhead. Give it a try.

Alpine Social, located at Lake Louise, offers a pleasant dining experience that continues to attract visitors. While prices may be steep, the food is generally average, with some standout dishes like the best fish & chips ever, praised for its crispy, crunchy, and light breading, providing the perfect moisture balance. The brisket has also been highlighted as a great value, being juicy and tender. Service is enthusiastic, with friendly servers like Olivia, who provides exceptional attention to detail and makes ordering a breeze, enhancing the overall experience. Guests have appreciated the wonderful recommendations and menu knowledge from staff members. However, some visitors have raised concerns about waiting times, as there have been delays in service, and the experience can be a bit confusing as guests sometimes need to seat themselves upon arrival.
The atmosphere is enjoyable, making it a popular spot for special occasions such as Valentine's Day. While some dishes, like the Mediterranean Salad, may feel overpriced—especially with the added cost for chicken—others have received positive feedback. The fish and chips continue to compete well with those found in Australia, and the happy hour portions are noted to be huge. The pasta was described as really good, though slightly overpriced for the amount of food, and the shrimp tasted odd to some. Other offerings like the Bison ravioli received mixed reviews, particularly regarding the red sauce. Despite some inconsistencies, Alpine Social remains a favored choice for diners, even as quality may have fluctuated since 2020. Visitors also enjoy the great views after snowfall, adding to the memorable experience.
