“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sakai Sushi Bar, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere is inviting, with a well-thought-out layout that enhances the dining experience. I particularly appreciated the option of private dining rooms, which added a nice touch for those looking for a more intimate setting.
The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the Volcano Roll. It stood out with its unique flavor profile, setting it apart from similar rolls I’ve tried at other restaurants. The taste was incredible—definitely a must-try!
However, the Agadashi Tofu was a bit of a letdown. While I appreciated the option of either an 8-piece or 16-piece serving at a reasonable price, the dish came with a coating that was somewhat gummy and reminiscent of mochi. It wasn’t quite what I expected and was slightly off-putting. Additionally, the spicy seasoning dusted on top didn’t match the flavors I’ve enjoyed in the past, both at other restaurants and during my time in Japan. As someone who fell in love with Agadashi Tofu while living there, I was hoping for a more authentic experience.
In summary, I would definitely recommend Sakai Sushi Bar for their sushi, particularly the Volcano Roll. Just consider skipping the Agadashi Tofu if you’re looking for something closer to the authentic taste.“

“Update as of June 14th 2026, the manager fixed the situation with the kale, very thankful and fantastic staff, the prior review was a bit harsh as I was hangry.
Ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl tonight and made it a Bento box and was disappointed to get Woody stem kale completely lining the bottom of the Bento box.“
