“We recently attended the Mushroom Harvest event at Sorrentino’s in St. Albert and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The seasonal mushroom-inspired menu was exceptional from start to finish.

We began with the wild mushroom soup and mushroom rolls, both of which were rich, flavourful, and perfectly showcased the freshness of the ingredients. For our entrées, I had the veal cheeks, which were tender, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavour. My wife chose the Pollo Ripieno, and it was equally impressive, expertly cooked and delicious.

The presentation of each dish was excellent, and the flavours throughout the meal were outstanding. Combined with attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere, it made for a memorable dining experience. We look forward to returning and would highly recommend Sorrentino’s, especially when they feature special events like the Mushroom Harvest menu.”

A very generous portion of a traditional and tasty Pollo parmigiana was my main and it was delicious. The creme brulee and tiramisu for dessert were prepared perfectly. Twice in a row I was lucky enough to have Rose as my server. I cannot praise her enough! She was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. Service was fast, and she made sure everything was perfect. The ambiance was clean and comfortable making it a great spot for both quick bites and relaxed meals. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and experience. I appreciate that they have gluten & dairy free options for appetizers, main courses and desserts. I’m hope they start offering vegan cheeses for their pizzas (and bring back their smoked salmon pizza that was to die for) I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.”

I explained that I was in to pick up lunch for my kids as I had forgotten to order their hot lunch before the cut off date. I was about to pay, and without asking or expecting anything of the sort, was offered a large discount (50%) because that was what they charge to the schools. Wow! Also, when I was waiting to be helped I also overheard the manager offering to honour someone’s coupon even though it had expired. I was very impressed and left there feeling like I needed to share. Kudos to wonderful customer service!”

It became such a gorgeous centerpiece for our dessert table, and it looked just as amazing as it tasted. Brittany was so wonderful to work with from start to finish—friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect. Our guests raved not only about how beautiful the cake and cupcakes looked, but also how delicious they were. The flavors were spot on, and everyone could tell how much care she put into her baking. “My wife and I just moved to St. Albert and were wandering around the downtown on a sleepy Sunday morning and decided to pop in to check out this lovely cafe. We greeted by the friendly staff and had a hard time choosing from the beautiful and varied desert display. Instead, we decided to have brunch after seeing the excellent quality of the treats.

The cafe is beautifully decorated, quaint and stylish with its French style. I checked out the attached high tea room and it was adorable as well. We will have to come back when my aunt visits us next month, as she will love it. The shop reminded us of Paris and the cakes and macarons in the fridge were stunning and looked of high quality.

The brunch turned out to be a great choice. I had the Arctic crepes and they were savoury, but not too rich with its hollandaise, smoke salmon, dill and briny capers. The chai latte was delicious as well. My wife had the salad and spinach and salmon quiche which was flaky and tasty. She loved my crepes, though and she would definitely have them next time.

We will definitely be back to try more at this lovely cafe! A very special experience.”

The woman that works there came over to my Mom and ask her if she meant to give 100 dollars for the tip. My Mom was so grateful to this kind woman for her caring heart to even ask if it was a mistake. She then gave her a refund. We were both so grateful to this lovely woman. It meant so much that she checked with my Mom and just didn’t leave it. Also, the coffee was amazing as well as the brownie. Atmosphere is great too! Highly recommend this place to anyone! “My much better half and my wonderful children took me out to St. Louis Bar & Grill for my birthday. I have never been despite living so close. I was not expecting much from a small pub chain. They exceeded my expectations for sure. We ordered: St. Louis Wings Chicago deep dish pizza (hot and honey sauce) 5pcs tenders meal with fries (St. Louis hot sauce) 1lb wings meal sub poutine add extra sub poutine (buffalo sauce) 2 pints beer 2 refillable soda pops I also asked for sides of the hot as hell sauce and St. Louis hot sauce Lastly they treated me to a free slider birthday cake (like an ice cream sandwich cake slice) All the food was actually really really good. I was surprised. The portions were great without being so big that you worried they were cutting costs and quality to do it. The service was also really good. And on top of it, all that food above (where I have leftovers still) was only $90. Not at happy hour, not on wing Tuesday, full bore regular price. I rarely find going out to be reasonably priced but this was an exception. I will most certainly be back. In fact I’m sending my teenager and his friends this weekend to tackle the $15 all you can eat angus burger deal 🙂. My only two areas of improvement: 1. Hot as hell sauce was fairly spicy but the flavour was just vinegary and had no real depth. Will not have that again unless it’s tweaked. 2. A place with so much eating by hand should add automatic taps and the foot grab door opening thing. Hard to keep hands clean turning off taps and exiting bathroom. Or switch to paper towels instead of blow dryers. Either or.”
