“Earls has been my favorite restaurant for over a decade, but this was my first time visiting the St. Albert location, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the steak and sushi, and it was incredible. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and came with a flavorful ponzu sauce topped with sesame seeds and chives. I decided to try one of their new sushi options, the aburi salmon pressed sushi, and it was amazing. The slight sear on top gave it a nice smoky flavor that paired so well with the melt-in-your-mouth texture.

My husband went with the pulled chicken clubhouse, and he absolutely loved it. The sandwich came with dry-cured bacon, jalapeño havarti, avocado, tomato, crisp leaf lettuce, and garlic aioli on griddled sourdough. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the combination of fresh ingredients made it a standout dish.

We also shared the calamari, which was crispy and came with a great mix of jalapeño, cucumber, and a refreshing yuzu dipping sauce. For drinks, I had the sparkling raspberry lemonade—light and not overly sweet, which was perfect. My husband tried the zero proof mojito and loved it; it was refreshing and full of flavor. To finish off, we split a slice of the bourbon pecan pie, and it was the perfect way to end the meal—sweet, nutty, and just the right amount of indulgent.

The service was outstanding from start to finish, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s clear that the management team is doing a fantastic job creating an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere. The whole experience was exactly what I’ve come to expect from Earls. It’s always a pleasure dining with them, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.“

“I consider myself a regular customer at the restaurant. I’ve probably sat at the bar around 10 times and no one has ever asked me for my ID. Today, I went for a soup, and when I sat at the bar, the girl behind the bar asked for my ID without even greeting me, and told me that if I didn’t have it, she couldn’t serve me. There’s nothing wrong with the policy, but if you’re going to enforce it, do it consistently—not just randomly—so people can be prepared. In any case, the bartender’s attitude was far from hospitable.“

I already have them a great review on Google, but once again the management team never disappoints! From time to time people make mistakes, that’s life. But when the restaurant goes above and beyond to make it right is a fading thing it seems, but not with JOEY mayfield common!! Twice now the management team has corrected the mistakes and offered great compensation for so. Like one of my favourite things when I order is that they throw in a free brownie. They missed it this one time and I called and she corrected on my next order. Thank you sooo much, the brownies are to die for 😍… you definitely hooked me up on this order too. Made me giggle 🤭. “I went here while on a trip from Calgary with my family from India. This place is definitely a hidden gem and we were lucky to find it. The interior is cozy, warm, dim and a nice welcoming homey interior. We stumbled upon it because it was close to our hotel. The food was uniquely crafted and extremely tasty, well cooked and flavorful. Our server Tarique was on-point with service and recommendations. He seemed to be the only server in the restuarant, but he made sure that he was always asking us if everything was to our liking. Even on such a busy night we felt really well taken care off!. One of my family members had a mushroom allergy, Tarique and the kitchen staff were very considerate and accommodating! Would definitely come here again on our next trip to Edmonton“

“Love the concept and most of the execution of this restaurant. The food was generally good with the exception of the tartine and rillettes dishes. They do arrive already spread onto the toast, which a fine, but the versions on the night we where there where every sparse on the accompanying toppings. For example, the huge piece of bread had a good amount of the whipped chicken liver tartine, but only a couple of pickled cherries. This just made it kind of useless. When you actually had everything together in one bite it was good. Would have been better to have the items more chopped and dispersed if you are going to pre do it all in the kitchen.

That being said, the gnocchi was good as was the broccoli.
The pan roasted hen, 5 spice rub, mushrooms, tamarind & miso butter was probably one of the best things that I have had in awhile. I was more than happy that it came with mushrooms instead of the green beans it showed on the menu.“

“Little Wolf is a cozy and intimate restaurant, with a very plant-focused, vegan-friendly menu (nearly half the menu is vegan!). Vegetables are the star of the show, paired with flavorful sauces. The highlight of our meal was the fried focaccia with zaatar and hummus. The dishes are small and designed for sharing. The prices are quite reasonable. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with dim lighting, candles, wood paneling, and exceptionally friendly service. I highly recommend the 3-course vegan dinner at Little Wolf. It’s held on the last Monday of every month, and proceeds go to the Edmonton Food Bank. The food was wholesome and delicious, with seasonal fruits and veg being the star of the show. P.S. “We stopped in Edmonton for one night. Since Ricky's was attached to the Holiday Inn we stayed at, we ate both dinner and breakfast.
Dinner had the Turkey Plate and Fish&Chips. Turkey was amazing, fish was good. Service was very very good. Young man was warm and welcoming and very friendly.
Breakfast we had eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. All very good. Best part was how warmly Rowena treated us. She's the best. I recommend.“
