“This is a 'destination-gem' worth seeking out, an opinion shared unanimously by the ten of us who enjoyed lunch here on October 14th. The menu has a lot of diversity, with interesting dishes that will appeal to everyone. The food was fabulous - fresh, flavorful and artfully presented. Prices were very reasonable. The burgers and beef brisket, in particular, got rave reviews from those who ordered them. Our server, Jeanine, set the stage with an overview of the philosophy of the restaurant and its focus on local products. She was personable, articulate, responsive to our requests, and very, very good at her role, especially considering the size of our group. In terms of ambiance, the dining room has a great view of the golf course; however, the building needs a refresh to bring it up to par with the quality of the restaurant. We plan to hold our future family get-togethers here, based on this stellar experience. And, we'll gladly recommend, and use 'The Glens Grill and Farm to Table Catering Inc.' for events held elsewhere.“
“I ordered Dinner for 1 # 5 and substituted the dry ribs for chicken chop suey, deep fried wontons and small wonton soup. Everything was tasty. Prices are reasonable. Portions were perfect! The lady that served us spoke very little English but she made it work and is so sweet! No complaints and I am picky!“
“Ok so as a Red Deer resident, I hardly ever come here. However, I have a history with this place, dating back over a decade. I have played on their life stage several times. But that was a lifetime ago.I've had their wings a few times. Their wings are excellent.Yesterday I had one of their burgers for the first time. I'm still thinking about that burger. THAT is a tasty burger. The fries seem phoned in and dry, but don't worry about the fries. I believe you can order a different side. But DO order one of their burgers.“
“To be completely honest the rice was dry but still flavorful and decent portion. I ordered a combo #4 but overall the pineapple chicken balls are delicious. Also the dry ribs and beef & vegetables were sooo tasty I definitely will order again from here ?“
“Been here many times over the years, first as a guest at the Best Western Wayside Inn and now as a resident of Wetaskiwin. The food is always tasty snd served quickly. Service has always been excellent and pleasant. Atmosphere is cozy pub-like. Try the deep fried dill pickles and definitely the wings (lots of flavours). Specials always are good as are all the menu items we’ve tried. My mother was fussy about restaurants but Barney’s was a favourite for her, especially “her” table by the fireplace!Parking: Huge lot beside the hotel.“
