My daughter wanted Chinese food while we were in Anchorage to ice skate. Being unfamiliar with the local restaurants, we looked online. Having been spoiled by truly amazing Asian food in the past, we chose China Lights. We were not disappointed! The food was beautiful and awesome! Very colorful and flavorful. This place is so good! You gotta come try it
I recently moved to the area, and wanted some Chinese food. I passed this place and thought I would give it a try. I called in a pick up order. They said it would be 30 minutes but I got there early and it was done pretty quick.
I took it home for my son and I. The food was bland, very disappointing. I got broccoli beef, sesame chicken, and crab cheese wontons. All of it was pretty blah, no flavor. I ate a small amount and threw the rest away.

China Lights Seafood Buffet is an average restaurant. The staff are extremely nice and attentive, keeping drinks full and clearing plates as they are empty. They were able to last minute accommodate a large party, and the waitstaff are kind and will remember you after only a couple of visits, bringing you your drinks as they seat you. The food is sometimes left out a little longer than it should, and can run out without being refilled for a long time. Some of the food was cold, not ice cold but not warm, though lots of the food was steaming. The chicken is really good quality; anything with chicken was fantastic. The sushi was also good. The soup is always HOT, and the food is always tasty. The first round of mongolian beef was fire, but the second was barely mid—consistency matters. The dessert and salad bar are good, but limited. It is also very, very expensive, though some find great value for the money. Nothing tasted bad.
