“I work around the corner and, thus, have eaten here many times. The spring rolls and lo mein have been my go-to. They literally never disappoint.

I was feeling a little squirrely today and decided to jump outside of my comfort zone and try the hot and spicy beef noodle soup, and WOW, what a flavor bomb this things is! It’s so seriously good, but it’s not for the faint of heart. I started to open the extra chili oil they included in the bag when I thought to myself “I should probably try this first,” and I’m so glad I did, because she is spiiicy. Hurts so good though. I will definitely be ordering this again.

I’m always apprehensive about the prices here but am always quickly reminded of how worth it their food is. This portion was actually massive, and they include a separate container with lots of noodles and cabbage, along with a little ramekin of green onion and cilantro. It’s very thoughtfully packaged, which is something I always appreciate. If I had one critique, it would be that I would like maybe a *little* bit more beef in it. Regardless, 11/10. Oh, and the service is stellar too. The guy with the black Ray Bans is a real one.

“The food here is amazing. I highly recommend the pineapple chicken, but honestly it's hard to find a bad dish on the menu. Everything I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic taste.

My only criticism is the 5% surcharge for credit card payments, which feels exceptionally steep. I understand businesses pay processing fees and sometimes pass along part of that cost, but 5% seems higher than what's typically charged. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend bringing cash to avoid the surcharge.

Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say. The food is absolutely worth it, and I'll definitely be back.“

“My daughter wanted Chinese food while we were in Anchorage to ice skate. Being unfamiliar with the local restaurants, we looked online. Having been spoiled by truly amazing Asian food in the past, we chose China Lights. We were not disappointed! The food was beautiful and awesome! Very colorful and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and the had a joyful feel. The owner and wait-staff were attentive, kind, and showed a true enjoyment of their jobs. Miss Tracy was genuinely super kind to my daughter and I. Going to a place where people really enjoy what they do makes a big difference in the overall experience! Definitely added to my favorite stops list in Anchorage.“

“Yeah. Go there for the food, not the service. I’ve been going here for years and the same owner / waitress is always tight lipped and businesslike. Sometimes rude. No smiling- ever. Anyone who writes here that they had excellent customer service should consider themselves blessed. The food makes up for it. Pricing is very reasonable, in my opinion, post-Covid. You get a lot for your money. It’s too bad that the service is so poor. This place could be so much better.“

“Great Pork Adobo - that's my go to. My second entree is whatever looks good. The people behind the counter never skimp on food. Plenty of seating inside. It is quick, it is tasty - what else do you want? The market side is my go to for lots of produce. The quality is consistently higher than New Sagaya, but the variety is smaller. They seem to only put out good food to sell though; I've never purchased a moldy or rotten thing.
