“Outstanding! It’s been 8 long years since I’ve had a ham/cheese croissant made in the traditional French way and it was a delight to discover this wonderful bakery and the aforementioned croissant. “Delicious delicious ice cream flavors. The salted caramel was amazing. Wasn’t too salty and wasn’t too sweet. Just the perfect combination. It is a tiny bit pricey but well worth it.
It is a small little window you order from. You may run into some homeless people and there might be a small wait after ordering but well worth it. I didn’t wait more than 5 mins for my order.“

“The brick and mortar is close to my place of work, so I decided to give y’all a try. Really glad I did. I went with the breakfast tacos with tofu as the protein. I don’t exactly know how you prepare the tofu but it’s definitely some of the best in town! My only constructive criticism would be that that was a lot of food on such a tiny plate. I will be back.“

(yummy and spicy), the dark horse (spicy) and the Business Lounge (mild spice). Both had great flavor and you can tell they really put in the effort and time. For drinks, order Gloria Highball...so refreshing!!! and the Komorebi old fashioned. Our server Nicole answered all my questions and was super nice and friendly!“

“It was Fathers Day at 7pm and no tables or reservations were made, I suggested to my only daughter that we try Ginger. Without reservation, the hostess found us window seating right away, and our waiter was awesomely polite! Our lemon ginger ale's were perfect, the curry a delight...but the General Tso's Chicken, stole the show!
I can not remember a better dinner in Anchorage. Thank you guys for a wonderful dining experience!

“The fried chicken sandwich is good (but it tasted like fish). I really liked the Boba fizzy soda. The mac and cheese tasted like Annie's boxed mac and cheese. Don't bother paying for it. You can make it at home. The caramel apple bread pudding is heavenly!! Portion sizes are good! I had leftovers.“

“Terrible service, brought friends from outside of state and it was embarrassing after telling them what a "great" place. Halibut was over cooked and too much batter. The waitress made a RUDE remark about a server who dropped a plate of food. We were basically ignored. It wasn't even busy, mid-afternoon. SORRY, I still have gift cards to spend because I don't really want to go back. disappointed 😞“

“honestly i wasnt sure what to expect but this place completely won me over. the coffee was strong and hot just the way i like it and the pastry i grabbed was still warm. the guy behind the counter was super nice and even chatted with me for a bit about the weather. i ended up sitting there way longer than i planned cause it just felt cozy. the view out the window is pretty great too you can see all the snow. already thinking about when i can come back next. definitely a spot to remember.“

“Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 The sushi rolls were huge, raw fish wasn’t smelly, entrees were big including the kids plate (bento style). I found the prices very fair especially comparing them to Basil Ginger in the valley. We didn’t order a single roll over $20 and our favorite cooked one (spider) was only $15. The restaurant was pretty packed yet our food came out surprisingly fast for how many people were dining in. The waitress was on FIRE. Running around making sure everyone was good. She also gave us dessert at the end for free. Maybe it’s a thing but we were highly flattered and appreciative! It was great to eat at a clean establishment that also checked allll the other boxes too. My kids and I got up to leave and both noted “this place deserves a shining review!”. Highly recommend 🙂“

“Ordered a pickup for a smoothie, vegan frozen yogurt & vegan mexican corn (Elotes).
My partner's smoothie was fire but a little sweet according to him and my ube frozen yogurt was AMAZING! I added coconut shavings and vegan mochi.
The mochi tasted like assorted turkish delights so it wasn't my favorite. But anyone who likes turkish delights would most likely enjoy them.
The vegan mexican corn was average. The packaged presentation was well made, however the corn they used seemed like it was canned corn or just bad corn. The vegan version was not on a cobb.
Also the bread crumbs/galaté they used was a tiny bit stale and could have used a bit more seasoning and salt.
Overall it was an average and decent order.
Worth a try especially if you are looking for frozen yogurt and smoothies.
Paid $19.49 with a $10 off through doordash.

“Absolutely most favorite location here in Anchorage, always fresh, kind and delivers delicious incredible authentic meals, I’ve never been disappointed, anytime of day or week they have the best service and food, they are quick so if your looking to take your meal home or enjoy inside there beautiful lounge, you would think the street Mountain View is intimidating, but you can’t get better than this specific Xalos for food and service! Thank you for my delicious meals that remind me of home.“

“First, I have to say that the owner is one of the friendliest people ever. He was consistently checking in, chatting, and making sure that we had a good experience. My husband joked that he came all the way to Alaska for a Chicago dog, but it was on the menu. I thought the fries were great. We almost skipped over this place but it was one of the best deals and experiences eating in Anchorage.“

“Absolutely delicious ice cream flavors!
I love the Alaska themed flavors and use of local ingredients when possible. Also, I am pretty sure they make their own waffle cones because they are the best ones I have ever eaten. Crispy and thin but still sturdy. My favorite flavor is Caribou Tracks. I am sad I can’t find a comparable flavor where I live.
I am lactose intolerant and it was worth it! (Also, they sold lactose meds at the counter. Genius!)“
