“Best place for breakfast! Throughout our stay in Anchorage, my husband and I at times needed breakfast to go and also had slower mornings with time to sit and relax. Bema was great for both.
The burritos are very big, perfect for days with a late lunch or to split in half with someone. We tried all of them over time except the Valdez Veggie. Every burrito was very good but our favs were the Cook Inlet Classic and O’Malley Maple. They also have baked goods that looked good but we did not try any.
I had a caramel latte which was very tasty but the special drink, blackberry vanilla iced americano, was fantastic! The staff were all super friendly and helpful and kind.
Overall this cafe serves up good hearty food for good prices. If you’re looking for something better than McDonald’s or food trucks but not restaurant prices then Bema Cafe is for you.“

“Birch & Alder where have you been my whole life?! Tucked away roadside coffee shop, the burrata sandwich on focaccia is nothing short of a culinary success. The creamy burrata, crispy prosciutto (wow) perfect! Layers of fresh brightness, but the zhoug sauce (double wow)! When I say it’s a 10 out of 10, I really mean it’s an 11 an absolute must try for anyone chasing the ultimate sandwich experience. Nothing but smiles:)“

“I am pleasantly surprised about Goldie's. I have tried so many different coffee shops. They tend to make coffee too sweet or taste too bitter. No in between taste. And I always have miscommunication with them because I'm deaf. When I came to Goldie's, I was surprised to see that the two sweet ladies at Goldie's knew how to sign. Finally! I was able to have clear communication! And their coffee tastes really good! Not too sweet, not too bitter. Just right. I will be going to Goldie's for my regular coffee fix! 6 stars out of 5!“

“Nina, the owner was kind enough to set up a special tea party for me and my out of town guest. Her shop has a large selection of loose leaf teas and it was busy in there but she was patient and helped us find something we liked, even offering us a sample of their house tea. The tea sandwiches were flavorful and delicate. The doughnuts were so good!!! There’s so much to see in this little shop and plenty of delicious treats. I will be back!“

“OMG…. Thank you! The staff is always pleasant, and I haven’t had them forget even a spoon. EVERYTHING that I’ve tried is SO GOOD! Like mindblowing! And nothing is ever skimped on!! I tried the gumbo today, and I didn’t know what to expect- but I usually have to add salt to stuff…. But the seasonings… OUT OF THIS WORLD! And the cornbread…OMG…. I also got a tuna melt too… there were the perfect amount of veggies and it wasn’t just a boring tuna sandwich!! everything is so good. I had to say thanks!“

“Not just the best coffee shop/but in Anchorage but some of the best coffee and chai anywhere in America. Have lived in many states and huge cities and almost nothing compares.I still don’t know what they do with the chai latte. You can buy the same powder and milk and magic bullet but I cannot replicate how good it is.“

“First time visiting. Sandwich menu was explained and I chose the Jive Turkey. I also got a sugar free iced drink. The sandwich was excellent from the first bite to the last. “What a change this place has been. I've revisited after about a decade of other adventures. What once was a little quick and go hole in the wall gem... and now it's a whole venue with so much to see and enjoy. I could spend hours here just taking in the street and views.“
“Tucked away in the back of a main floor executive office tower, Dripping Zero provides a quiet place to enjoy a great cup of coffee or a quick lunch. There's plenty of seating inside or outside, with large windows to let in the light and provide a view. The owners are super friendly and happy to serve you anything from their menu or curate something of your choice. Prices are fantastic! This place can't be beat if you're a coffee aficionado.“

“I come here a few times a week and this coffee stand never misses a beat. They have some of the friendliest baristas around and the coffee is always on point. Good cookies and muffins as well. Out of all the stands in the area, this one is perfect every time.“
“Took my little one in for the first time, a few issues I had was the gal that took our order was not super friendly or welcoming. She seemed upset, not sure if that is just her personality but it did not leave a good taste for an atmosphere that is meant to be kid friendly..Secondly, parents need to watch there kids. I don’t know how and if staff can enforce that since they are not employed to babysit so may not be aware but there were older kids literally rough housing and flinging each other by the arms. Bathroom smelled pretty bad because diapers are not being disposed of properly. I would recommend fresh cup not advertise that if parents need a mental break they can just go here to dump their kids and let them go off and play unsupervised and unborthered because there ad is insinuating that. I would still recommend this play place because they have good coffee, reasonable pricing, good play equipment, and we need more indoor play houses in Alaska!“
