“We were in town from Georgia for our family members wedding. Wife and I look for small local restaurants to support. Glad we found this. Loved the food! Came back a second morning. Top notch service as well. We will be back on our next trip to Alaska.“
“Visited Alaska for the first time this month and glad we stopped by Kinley's for dinner. Well, we made a reservation and I see why after eating there. Fantastic fish- we had halibut and rockfish, great sides, prompt and friendly service, and a chef even stopped by our table to check in and I got a little lesson in halibut selection/prep which was awesome! This place makes you want to include another visit to Anchorage in your future for the sole (argh) purpose of dining here. Not to mention the price to value ratio is totally fair and actually amazing after hearing horror stories about Alaska pricing- beats the lower 48 all day long for this, as well as taste and quality.“
“Finally got around to trying this restaurant and I was overall pretty satisfied..I got the Veal meatballs in cabbage Appetizer (Frikadeller med rødkål) to start and was slightly let down..The Meatballs were drowned in (Extremely) sweet purple cabbage and it tasted like there was way to much sugar in the sauce and way to much cabbage/sauce to meatballs in my opinion..The meatballs were good but probably will stay away from this Appetizer in the future. My entree was the Beef Bolognese pasta and it was delicious! Great portion as well..The gentleman putting my food together put some delicious bread in my bag for me and I thought that was a nice gesture..The men that work at Jen's don't come off as the type of people that are up for small talk and seem pretty serious but that's ok...I noticed there house wine is a White French Appellation wine that is one of my go-to's which is a good sign and I'll most likely be back to try more dishes...?“
“We eat at the Bistro frequently and have tried most of the menu items. Last night I had a the 8-Oz filet, done to perfection, with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. My wife had the pork schnitzel, which was also amazing. Top that off with a great Caesar salad and a glass or two of Alexander Valley a cab (for me), and a sauv blanc for my wife. Jens always comes through with great offerings. Also, the wait staff have been there a long time, which says something about the loyalty and integrity of the restaurant. It's definitely our go to place in Anchorage for quality dining.“
“Altura Bistro (Anchorage)This is my first review and first time eating at Altura. I would describe it as a seafood and steakhouse . You get free bread and butter. Which were yummy , the bread was warm, soft and fluffy and the butter was whipped with black salt. The service was excellent. The servers were attentive and the food came fast and perfectly timed. Such as we finished the bread , the app came , we finished the app, the entrees came .We ordered ....Drinks : wine based cocktails. It was a good drink and squeeze the lime in the drink and it's betterappetizer : pork belly .Pork belly has crispy ends and juicy inside. It was on top of a bed of cabbages that had vinegary dressing.Entree: chicken confit . I liked the ravioli and the chicken was cooked perfectly with crispy skin. It was saltier than I liked.New York steak . Cooked perfectly to medium rare and delicious . It came with potatoes.Dessert: creme brulee . It comes with a garlic crumble but it tastes like chocolate which was nice !Overall a 4.5/5 rating . Would come back again“
“Incredible date night at the Crow’s Nest! Warm, friendly service by Chelsea. Beautiful views! Amazing food. All around, a perfect night. Thanks to Chelsea for the wine recommendation and unforgettable dining experience- and thanks to the Chef for the absolute best filet and ribeye that we have ever had. Looking forward to another date night at the Crow’s Nest in the future!“
“Took my small team of coworkers here for lunch and we had a great time. Our waiter was super friendly and food came out fast. I ordered an açaí bowl and a coffee… he asked what size coffee and I said with a desperate chuckle, “got any soup bowls?” He surprised me with an impressively large mug/bowl of coffee that made my day!“
“Our waiter was awesome. The food was fantastic. We ordered a BLT. It's not on the menu, but you can order it. It's delicious. I got the Tomato Basil soup with mine and my husband got the Super Tots and a side salad with his. The soup was delicious also.Parking: Somewhat difficult to find parking at rush times, but we got there before the rush hour.“
“Excellent Food. Great service and uniquely Different. We enjoyed every bit I had Filet Mignon. And My husband enjoyed the Venison Appetizer was smoked salmon with Belini and caviar. Dessert menu was also excellent. I would say this is a 5 Star. Restaurant. For sure.“
“It’s a (somewhat) hidden gem for excellent food, wine, and cocktails. Foodies will love it. I have been coming back for years for the flights of wine and small plates of interesting tidbits……but sometimes find myself ordering the big plates! Suddenly a glass of wine will appear in front of you that you have never experienced before and may never experience again.“
“I have to update my review because since the new owner/management has taken over I couldn't be more happy with the food and costumer service! My to-go orders the last year have been perfect and the people who work the front could not be more down to earth and engaging. The lady that runs the place is very nice and you can tell that she has everybody trained the right way and has this place at its best! I Order from Oasis probably once or twice every two weeks now and the consistency is very much on point?“
“My recent dining experience at Fletcher Restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska, was really pleasant. From start to finish, every dish surpassed expectations, showcasing the best of Alaskan seafood cuisine. The seafood chowder was a highlight, bursting with flavors and packed with fresh ingredients. Each spoonful was a delight, offering a smooth and flavorful experience that left me craving for more. The smeared Alaskan halibut was a true masterpiece. Cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning, it showcased the natural freshness and sweetness of the seafood. A testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality ingredients. And let's not forget the fresh oysters, a true delight for any oyster lover. Served with their secret sauce, they were incredibly fresh, sweet, and absolutely irresistible. I could have easily indulged in more of these exquisite starters. The attentive service staff added to the overall dining experience. Despite a full house, they managed to serve our food promptly. However, the only downside is, the waiter is overly attentive, giving us the vibes that he is trying to chase us away.Overall, Fletcher Restaurant is not a bad place for dinning. If the waiter hasn't been so "pushy", it will be a pretty awesome dinner experience.“
“I ordered dinner to be delivered tonight from South through Door Dash. I ordered Montecristo, and a Caesar salad with fried chicken on the side. The restaurant had to call me because they don’t offer a Montecristo. It was just a bug with the new system because they just started using DoorDash this week. So I opted for a bacon cheeseburger. Jason the FOH Manager was awesome and quick to remedy the situation. The burger was delicious. Juicy, still warm, melty cheese, bacon, perfectly toasted bun.The side of fries was crispy.I meant to eat the fried boneless chicken breast cut up on top of my Caesar salad. I tried a bite of it and then I ate it with my hands. Like the classy girl I am.I got two little plastic ramekins with Caesar dressing, and I dumped them out on top of my salad and closed the takeout box. I did a little shaking. It was a fantastic Caesar salad. Zero complaints. I mean, maybe it would’ve been better with the chicken breast on top of it, but it still was amazing. I know everybody thinks a Caesar salad is easy, but it’s not. Everything has to be just right. This is my first time dining at South since I moved back to the great state of Alaska. It was a big hit. I enjoyed it.I’m gonna have to dine in person and get a Montecristo another time.I didn’t take any photos because I was busy eating. Which says a lot actually.“
“Excellent wings in a variety of different flavors. I will say the food is on the salty side so be prepared for that, but really, really good especially compared to a lot of these chain places. I've tried a few flavors but the Southern Fried wings really stood out to me, in addition to their fried Okra. Can't beat the classics. Food has been ready to pickup in the amount of time promised both times.“
“Such a wonderful show! We’ve been to a couple, the sassy Saturday’s are amazing as are the Halloween shows! I can not recommend a better place to be, and I’m so absolutely happy to be spending my birthday weekend here! Wonderful outfits, amazing performers, and the hosts are perfection!“
“The most generous, fun, witty, lady bar tender I think from California and been at XYZ for around 20 years. She even stayed a little later to accommodate 3 of us still wanting last minute drinks and since I missed my flight I was stuck until 4am at the Aloft with no reservation and she made me an extra special drink of her own design... I'll always remember the best service and I'm actually NOT a drinker but the dried fruit addiction made it like a meal!! I absolutely loved it and will try drinking more with dried fruits!!“
“The Broken Blender has probably the best Old Fashioned in Anchorage. For reals, and Jo is the best.We have multiple food sensitivities. So, take those three stars with a grain of salt. Few places in Anchorage are 100% safe for us. Besides, those tots really did taste amazing before I realized I'd dosed myself.“
“Love this restaurant. Eat here whenever we drive into Anchorage. Their black cod is the best I've ever eaten. Also tried the pork belly appetizer which is delicious. We've never had a bad meal here. Ian was our server and he was so very nice and helpful.“
