“UPDATE: changing to 4 stars. They fixed the bathroom! Thank you!
Tldr: Bathrooms NOT good for families or mobility needs.
It's great they have a play place when so few McDonald's do anymore, but you can't call yourself family friendly when the only bathroom is in the gas station next door. The bathroom in the McDonald's is closed off and if you go to the Chevron you have to get a pass code to get in and there's no changing table. The ADA compliant stall is also blocked off. Pretty humiliating experience to be covered in baby poop and carrying my also-poop covered baby through the McDonald's and Chevron only to have to clean her up and change her on a bench seat in the playplace. Do better.“
“Hands down one of the fastest McDonald's experiences I've had anywhere in the U.S. We stopped in for breakfast and ordered the steak, egg, and cheese biscuit, as well as bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits. Not only was the service refreshingly expedient, but the order was perfectly accurate. If you’re looking for a quick, reliable meal in Anchorage, this location delivers.“
“Never had an issue here minus they started charging me $0.30 for each sauce after the first 'free' one.
I should get a sauce for each item I purchase - burger, fries, chicken sandwich, etc. Otherwise, they always get my order right - NO PICKLES. 🤭“
“McDonald's, especially this location, really has their standardization and quality of service tuned and dialed in! You might wait 30 minutes at Wendy's, you might not get what you ordered at Taco Bell, your food might taste like it came from an abyss if you order something from Little Caesars, but not here. No matter what you order it will come out perfectly cooked and ready to go every single time without fail! The only issue that we've ever run into is when they are training new employees but that's the fast food industry high turnover and all that. We use the mobile app frequently and it always works and they very very very rarely ever mess up our order. Really as far as the service and efficiency go the McDonald's out here in Wasilla is probably the best fast food you can get in the entire valley.“
“Breakfast menu was top notch as always, the McDonald's on Tudor & Lake Otis isn't one I go to often, but every time I do I never regret it. They've got their cooks on point for making consistent sandwiches that you can count on being exactly what you're expecting. Sometimes suprises are nice, but not when you're ordering fast food from one of the staple quick-meal restaurants in town. Save the suprises for some filet mignon or red velvet and cream cheese muffins that you're grandmother baked you. That's when variety suprises are the best and remind you of the warm glow of family. But when I'm heading to work or just getting a bite and say I want an Egg McMuffin with bacon, I know exactly what flavor profile I'm expecting - and this McDonald's delivers. Artic and Northern Lights as well is another one that is a real rockstar in the industry. As far as the other sites go, your milage will vary. Across the whole board I'd say McDonald's in Anchorage is above average when compared to other markets like Seattle or Fairbanks - their employees maintain a small town charm while also working effectively as a team to beat that always ticking meal clock they have above the drive-thru window. The only time I've ever had a problem with an associate is when they are new and don't understand yet the implications of being snarky or rude to a customer. Just a single such engagement can have vast and far reaching impacts not only for that employee but also for the franchise location, and possibly the company name in the area as a whole.
Overall I'm going to stand by my 5 star rating, with the caveat of 4 stars for Service, under the pretext of service implying Employee-to-Customer interactions, and vise versa. All other aspects of service, such as location, cleanliness, speed, etcetera remain at 5 stars.“
“I don't eat much McDonald's nowadays but the food was good. Customer service was great. I would say that all bathrooms in America. Definitely need to pay more attention to the restrooms. I know most of the McDonald's are a franchised out. But they need to have like corporate, make it a mandatory, non negotiable for all the bathrooms to be cleaned several times a day, even if and if they just hire a team specifically for the bathroom“
“Getting easier now days, there order in the app option is great and time saving. I just give them the code from the app and get to skip the pay window pick up and go. Only thing that would be better is if everyone else did the same thing. The line would move much much faster if everyone ordered and paid before they got there. The new deals and value menu helps save money so ill definitely be going back soon“
“Ah Mcdonalds' home of the $6.00 hashbrown singular gross exxageration but regardless what ever happened to cheap unhealthy fast food. Now it's expensive unhealthy garbage with snail pace service!
I personally try my hardest to avoid fast food restaurants like the plague especially now given the gross inflation of prices.“
“We prefer to use this McDonalds over the closer ones in our neighborhood. They get our order right and usually have everything including ice cream. They are fast and the staff is always great. Sometimes they can get busy but the wait is usually not long. Like everything else it has gotten expensive.“
“I likely eat at McDonalds way more than I should. As such, I’ve been to many, if not most, of the locations in Anchorage. This location is by far my favorite. They make the effort to put the food together in a way that shows not just competence but a work ethic that is hard to find. The staff has always been unfailingly polite even when I show up during busy times.
Specifically I was having a very rough day in the middle of October and just needed something to eat. It was my first time in quite sometime ordering at this location on Old Seward near Dimond mall, and I expect much the same as other locations. Lopsided sandwich, cold limp fries and my drink lid to be barely on.
It might sound absurd to say, but these things not being true really made my day. It was such a small thing but really affected me. I had to go in and tell one of the employees thank you. They seemed surprised that they should be thanked, but also happy that they were acknowledged.
So to the people working at this location, thank you again. It’s a small thing, but preparing people’s food without complaint and in good spirits I can’t imagine is always easy.“
“All right. Usually I wouldn't leave a review from McDonald's but whatever's going on over here at the mountain view McDonald's. Keep it up. I got a McDouble and a fish fillet that look magazine-esque. These were the best tasting and best looking sandwiches I've ever had and the place is super clean, legit and the service was amazing. Mountain view McDonald's five stars homie“
“This is by far the ABSOLUTE BEST MCDONALD'S IN ANCHORAGE! The food is fresh, juicy, employees are customer service extraordinaires! Every time they go above & beyond!
This is a LOCALLY OWNED franchise! I truly hope the owner sees this!“
“The staff here is very friendly and works fast, I dropped a cup once and they immediately came and helped me. The food here is like any other McDonalds, so average. They DO have a play area for kids which is great. The environment is clean and friendly. Overall this McDonalds does get a 5/5, although the bar is quite low because again, this is McDonalds.“
“This was the best experience I've had at a McDonalds, it's just surprising that it happened to be at the airport. They got my order right, everything was clean, the food was fresh, the portions were generous, and the staff was SO nice!“
