“Grinders Gourmet Coffee is hands-down one of the best drive-through coffee spots in the Fairbanks/North Pole area. The drinks are consistently excellent, the food is fresh, and the team is always upbeat and welcoming. What really stands out is the attention to detail, orders come out accurate, well made, and fast, even when they’re busy. You can tell there’s strong leadership and high standards behind the scenes. If you want quality coffee, great breakfast/lunch options, and friendly service you can count on, Grinders delivers every time. Highly recommend.“

“I got a blended white chocolate with two shots of espresso. The taste was spot on, but it has a couple ice chunks. There is another coffee hut that blends their drinks and they almost seem like a frozen mousse. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's the blender or the amount of time blending the ice. The barista was super friendly helping suggest a fruity drink for my friend that has several weird fruit and berry allergies.“
“Best coffee shop in Fairbanks hands down. I have 4 gift cards in my wallet to other places around town and never use them because backwoods coffee is perfect every single time. I order a 16oz white mocha, half sweet, extra shot everywhere I go and backwoods tastes the best!! Most coffee shops in town are entirely too sweet. Glad they have two locations now 😀“

“Mocha Moose Express is seriously my most favorite hut in Fairbanks 🫎😭💕☕️ I’m so happy they now have 2 locations! 🤗 The baristas are always so friendly + personable, the food + drinks are always spot on, and the possibilities for drink combos are endless! I always have to look on Mocha Moose Express’ page/stories for drink ideas, because they can make pretty much anything you want 🤪🤗💕 HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a yummy pick-me-up! ⭐️“

“This coffee hut is phenomenal. We had a car full of hangry adults, some w very particular food cravings. We took too long to order, had lots of questions, and were a bit cranky, yet the people working this coffee shop were warm, friendly, so patient, and happy to help! Our food pleasantly surprised us in portion size, temperature, price, and taste! The coffee was not too sweet. It was the perfect temperature and taste. I was so pleased with Backwoods Coffee that I asked if they had a website and any stickers, shirts, or hats w their logo. They were out at the moment. We are not from Alaska, so I have only had the pleasure of being a patron of Backwoods Coffee once, but we are going back in February, and I cannot wait to have more coffee and another delicious breakfast burrito/wrap!! I hope they have some swag by the time we get there again. Overall epically awesome coffee hut! Thank you, Backwoods Coffee!! ❤️“

“Holy hell, these chicks are the best. Quick, friendly, efficient, and most importantly, consistently good coffee. And don’t even get me started on the manager. She’s cooler than a polar bears nose, and she has this sick tattoo on her thigh.“

“Sunrise is a breakfast staple for us in Fairbanks. My husband loves their 'The works Breakfast Burrito' with salsa & I love their 'No Meat Breakfast Burrito' with salsa.
They've got great drinks like white chocolate or English toffee Breve, or their half spicy/half vanilla Chai latte, matcha, or just regular lattes. There are TONS of syrup flavors and drinks to choose from and they're really great at getting our food and drinks out fast, hot, and they get the order right. There's the main menu, and then there are always tons of signs at the order window that mention specials like july drink specials or biscuits and gravy.
And for Fairbanks, they're really affordable.
Definitely stop by for a try if you haven't already, and ask for a loyalty card if you're a fan too.“

“UPDATE: I cannot locate my original review, it wasn't good, 2 stars. Ugly sandwich pic that I have now deleted. These folks asked me to reach out. I did. We all agreed, bad sandwich. They gave me a gift card refund with a little plus. I returned to the hut of the original review (Sadlers parking lot) I placed the same order. The food was lovely this time. See pic for evidence. And I'd have raised my stars up to 4. But today, the gal there really connected with me for a minute and really lifted me up. She absolutely did not have to do that. And for that, I give 5 stars! “First meal of my travels after an unpleasant experience at the Fairbanks airport. Was there at 730am, and the lady was so friendly and helpful. Coffee was great and cinnamon bun was to die for. Appreciate the chirpy spirit in the cold cold winter“

“Loved the mango smoothie! Service is quick, not much waiting. Lady was nice. I like the part of town convenient. Drinks are expensive, but we get what we pay for, fresh hot foods too. Drive through or easy walk up. Next time I will try Red Bull kicker!“

“I've been to a couple of them around town these past few weeks.
They have great coffee and breakfast! I usually get a black coffee, Iced Latte or Iced Mocha with either the All meat burrito, croissant or bagel and it never disappoints. They is very reasonably priced as well. Even with everything going on right now with energy prices. They have quiet an extensive food and drink menu, go check them out.
The staff has always been very nice and welcoming with smiles on everyone's face. Which brightens my day to see people who enjoy what they do.“

“A very tasty brunch spot serving sandwhiches, scones, cookies, and more. Plenty of delicious, local ingredients and the staff are very nice. It would be amazing if there could be a way to have sandwiches on Saturday, as right now (tasty!) calzones are offered instead. The homemade lemonade is delicious!“

“Yes, great coffee and lotuses, but I love the smoothies, bowls, and juice options!!! The smoothies and bowls are made fresh to order and worth the small wait. I love the staff even more, they are always so nice, helpful, and make great suggestions if you just aren’t sure.“
