“Lovely place to stop for a coffee! We came across this spot during our road trip through Alaska and were so glad we did. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and they had a huge selection of coffee drinks to choose from. Definitely worth a stop!“
“Best coffee shop in Fairbanks hands down. I have 4 gift cards in my wallet to other places around town and never use them because backwoods coffee is perfect every single time. I order a 16oz white mocha, half sweet, extra shot everywhere I go and backwoods tastes the best!! Most coffee shops in town are entirely too sweet. Glad they have two locations now 😀“

“Grinders Gourmet Coffee is hands-down one of the best drive-through coffee spots in the Fairbanks/North Pole area. The drinks are consistently excellent, the food is fresh, and the team is always upbeat and welcoming. What really stands out is the attention to detail, orders come out accurate, well made, and fast, even when they’re busy. You can tell there’s strong leadership and high standards behind the scenes. If you want quality coffee, great breakfast/lunch options, and friendly service you can count on, Grinders delivers every time. Highly recommend.“

“The bagel to sausage and egg ratio is always a bit off, but everything tasted good and the baristas were very bubbly and quick.
My one additional complaint for knocking off a star would be that I purchased two $15 gift cards and the gift cards I got were definitely not new. They’re scratched up and have been reused multiple times and I didn’t get to pick which card patterns I wanted. The patterns I was given work fine, but it would’ve been nice to get a shiny new card with my pattern of choice, instead I got some that are covered in scratches and designed more for Valentine’s Day and a birthday rather than Christmas or generic brand cards. I don’t think I’ve ever purchased a gift card that has already been used before, so it feels pretty tacky gifting them to someone else when it looks like I pulled some old crap out of my wallet to regift like a lazy jerk. I got what I needed, it was just disappointing to be honest.“

“Mocha Moose Express is seriously my most favorite hut in Fairbanks 🫎😭💕☕️ I’m so happy they now have 2 locations! 🤗 The baristas are always so friendly + personable, the food + drinks are always spot on, and the possibilities for drink combos are endless! I always have to look on Mocha Moose Express’ page/stories for drink ideas, because they can make pretty much anything you want 🤪🤗💕 HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a yummy pick-me-up! ⭐️“

“UPDATE: I cannot locate my original review, it wasn't good, 2 stars. Ugly sandwich pic that I have now deleted. These folks asked me to reach out. I did. We all agreed, bad sandwich. They gave me a gift card refund with a little plus. I returned to the hut of the original review (Sadlers parking lot) I placed the same order. The food was lovely this time. See pic for evidence. And I'd have raised my stars up to 4. But today, the gal there really connected with me for a minute and really lifted me up. She absolutely did not have to do that. And for that, I give 5 stars! Thank you so much! ?“

“First meal of my travels after an unpleasant experience at the Fairbanks airport. Was there at 730am, and the lady was so friendly and helpful. Coffee was great and cinnamon bun was to die for. Appreciate the chirpy spirit in the cold cold winter“

“I love coming here both on and off work. It’s drastically improved since I first started coming (back in 2009) and the people are pretty exceptional. If I could just critique one thing when taking orders, read them back to the customers ordering them so the people behind the counter have it right. It’s extremely helpful and that way they know they’re getting the right orders. That’s all! Everything else is WONDERFUL!“

“Loved the mango smoothie! Service is quick, not much waiting. Lady was nice. I like the part of town convenient. Drinks are expensive, but we get what we pay for, fresh hot foods too. Drive through or easy walk up. Next time I will try Red Bull kicker!“

“A very tasty brunch spot serving sandwhiches, scones, cookies, and more. Plenty of delicious, local ingredients and the staff are very nice. It would be amazing if there could be a way to have sandwiches on Saturday, as right now (tasty!) calzones are offered instead. The homemade lemonade is delicious!“
