Bars in Haines

“My daughter and I went to this establishment during a cruise stop in Haines, AK. We were told by someone that the facility used to be a brothel so my daughter (age 29) and I thought it would be a hoot to have a drink there. Two big thumbs up for the waitress who served our drinks and engaged us in a little conversation and the bartender.“

“We were among the many cruise ship visitors in town and decided to have a cold beer in the Fogcutter Bar. The atmosphere is great and the staff friendly, We noticed that they were putting up Mardi Gras decorations in August so had to ask about this interesting tradition. They have this themed celebrations on Labour Day as it marks the end of the summer season.“

“The halibut and salmon fish and chips are fantastic, along with a Caesar salad and a few Boatright Bourbons to form a wonderful meal. The service was fast and courteous and the food hot and fresh. The only complaint; they played modern Country music.“
