“There is a food truck next to the bar that I have yet to try because they are always closed. The service last time there was lacking. Otherwise it's close to the pier and has heated tables via propane fire pits. Last year they opened a second deck that offers more views of the pier and Douglas Island across the channel.“
“If you're looking to venture beyond the downtown waterfront, Forbidden Peak Brewery is well worth the trip. This place feels like one of Juneau's hidden gems and it's easy to see why it's so popular with locals. The craft beer is outstanding, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the mountain views are incredible.
Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or simply looking for an authentic local experience, Forbidden Peak Brewery is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Juneau.“

“I had the halibut sandwich with fries and my wife the pretzels with pub cheese. Tried their award winning locally brewed port beer; extremely tasty if you like dark beer. Atmosphere is rustic, but what do you expect at a remote seaport (it's not San Diego). The only downside is the price: top market cost for middle market food.“
