Forbidden Peak Brewery Reviews
The beer is as good as the view of Auke harbor from the deck. The food is decent and I appreciate all the logo gear to choose from. Great spot for groups, kids or just a pint in the sun.
Great place for a drink, food and conversation. Watching the harbor or the bees on the fireweed are both relaxing
Fabulous hot pad thai

Forbidden Peak Brewery is a popular spot in Juneau, known for its large space with great views of Auke Bay. The brewery offers a variety of drinks, including several seltzers for non-beer drinkers or those with gluten sensitivities, as well as an extensive non-alcoholic menu. The beer selection is traditional, focusing on a tight ABV/IBU style range, with a new rotating beer introduced each month. Customers enjoy the friendly atmosphere, good food, and the chance to relax with family or friends while sipping on lagers, Belgian-style, and farmhouse ales. The brewery is famous for its $2 hot chocolate, making it a cozy place to visit during colder months.
The views from Forbidden Peak are amazing, and the beers and ciders are delicious. It’s a family-friendly place, with a kid-friendly atmosphere where kids can enjoy their drinks while adults have their beers or seltzers. The restaurant is run by a small seasonal kitchen with a menu featuring an Asian flair and brunch options. One popular dish is the black cod, praised for being very fresh. Visitors often spend hours playing cards, drinking fun beers, and watching the fog roll in and out. Although it is a bit out of town and requires a car, it’s not too far. Guests can enjoy a nice outside seating area with a great view and heaters. Afterward, a walk on the docks to see the boats is a perfect way to enjoy the visit.
