Great friendly place with the best views and outdoor seating. Good selection of beers that aren't just IPAs. Food is really good as well. We come here with the kids or with friends to just hang out and drink beer. Great time all around.
Forbidden Peak Brewery in Auke Bay (Juneau), Alaska has the best view from the outdoor patio. We like going there around 6p to watch the boats come into Auke Bay Harbor and plenty of eagles flying around. Easy parking, friendly staff, variety of beers, family friendly atmosphere. You can order food at a separate restaurant called Red Spruce that is inside the brewery. I recommend the Salmon Burger and Fries. The only drawback is...they close at 8pm!

We're fortunate to have 4 breweries in Juneau and this is one of our favorites. Barnaby is a bit more creative in their beer line-up, but Forbidden Peak has a fantastic large space with great views of Auke Bay, and a solid beer line-up, albeit a bit stagnant / monotone.They have several seltzers for the non-beer-drinkers or gluten-free people in your group, and about 15 beers on tap.
