Vagabond Blues Reviews
Stopped here from Anchorage on the way to Valdez at 7 AM, perfect spot. The baristas were so friendly and helpful, suggesting Whittaker Pass as a good place to visit. We had the reindeer burrito and it was simply delicious. It was filling and hearty but didn’t make us feel sluggish. It was honestly perfect. My vanilla latte was so good too! Better than a lot of big city coffee shops.
Definitely choose here as your stop if you are on the road.
Decent sandiches, coffee and baked goods.plenty of parking and seating. Clean bathrooms in the building.
Delicious sandwiches, friendly staff, and a nice easy going atmosphere. The Hungarian mushroom soup was incredible.

Vagabond Blues is a cozy cafe that serves delicious panini sandwiches, including the Bella and chicken-artichoke options, as well as reindeer sausage burritos. Their pasta salad and poppyseed salad with chicken remain popular choices. The cafe offers a variety of sweet treats, such as mouthwatering baked goods, pumpkin bread, and cinnamon rolls, all made with fresh ingredients and served with friendly service. Customers praise the great coffee, especially the pumpkin roll, and enjoy the pastries, soups, and salads. The cafe has a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels very Alaska, making it a favorite local spot.
The baristas are friendly and nice, and the cinnamon roll is amazing with a little extra frosting. The gluten-free cookies are also awesome. The Reuben and BLT sandwiches are both excellent, and the open, well-lit dining area with great window views is a highlight. The service provided by the staff helps customers feel right at home, and the soups, breads, and sandwiches are exquisite.
