I wanted to share my experience at the McDonald’s in Pelham on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at around 4:15 PM, because I feel like the situation could have been handled a little better.
The young African American man with locs working the drive thru took my cash payment. I was given my change, but I was not given my receipt.

Service sucks. Most unfriendly employees. I can only think it sucks to work there.
Stopped here while on a road trip and was very disappointed. Ordered 3 kids meals and the portion sizes were appalling. There were about 5 french fries in each meal. This was not what we had encountered at other places. I will note that we had stopped at another McDonalds a few days prior so I am comparing the portion sizes to that one.

McDonald's offers a mixed dining experience. The food is generally praised as good and fresh, and customers can get in and out within minutes. You can grab a meal for under $6, which includes a McChicken or McDouble, french fries, chicken fingers, and a drink. When the grease is fresh, you get those hot and perfectly crispy fries. However, the customer service can be inconsistent and the food is sometimes not served hot. The music in the restaurant can be way too loud and it can feel really cold inside.
