About High Dive HiFi Lounge

High Dive HiFi Lounge is a neat concept with a very pretty inside and a nice outdoor patio featuring fire pits, chairs, and heaters. The atmosphere is great, with an immaculate sound system and crazy acoustics that allow for easy conversation even when packed. The space is a gift to Birmingham, offering NYC quality food without insane prices.

The food is excellent, phenomenal, and spectacular. Dishes are delicious and everything looked great. Specific items praised include the traditional cappuccinos, the BLT, the black bean bread pudding, the old fashioned, the egg & cheese sandwich on Japanese milk bread, the pork katsu, and the fried deviled eggs. The only noted exception was the pimento cheese sandwich. Drinks are also great.

Service is friendly and extremely kind, with fast service during less busy times like lunch counter service. However, during busy times, operational issues can lead to a bit of chaotic experience with long waits for a table and for service at the table. The music can be very loud, not chill and relaxing as expected, and tables are super close together. The process requires ordering at the counter before finding a seat. They do not take reservations for lunch or dinner, even on nights with live music, so arriving early is recommended. It is a spot to be checked out, preferably during less crowded times.
