We arrived 10 minutes after they opened for lunch on a Saturday and already they had one full table seated. But, we Only had to wait about 10 minutes and we were seated.Waiter was extremely attentive and we had drinks quickly. We didn't care for the soup as it had alot of what I assume we're fried onions that turned gummy. I didn’t expect much but sashimi was surprisingly of good quality, hibachi steak was average. The best thing was the service, host and servers and all employees were very nice and attentive.
I was in Hoover yesterday and was wanting Japanese food. Usually I get Stix in fultondale but the location in Hoover was closed. That is what lead me to find Sumo’s. Honestly, I think their food was better anyways! I ordered three hibachi chicken dinners with fried rice, one without onions, all to go. They got the order correct and weren’t difficult about the no onion order (which is rare to find)! The food was ready fast and prepared well to travel with. I would definitely...
