“We're not huge fans of Greek food, but we tried Tasty Town, mainly for convenience. We had planned a very packed day of sight-seeing in Birmingham on a Saturday. It seemed that hardly any eatery would be open and there wasn't time allowance to drive out of the downtown area, without being late for the next activity. Thus, we settled on a mid-afternoon lunch/dinner at Tasty Town. Honestly, both of us thought it was better than we had anticipated and the service and location were top notch. Thanks, Tasty Town! “When I walked in the door, I was greeted by someone. I was told there would be a 5 minute wait to sit down. It didn’t take the whole 5 minutes for me and two additional people to be seated. The business was quite full but everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves, smiling and eating. As soon as we were seated a waitress took our drink orders along with our food. We received our drinks right away. It took approximately 10 minutes for us to get our food. The food was delicious. I am impressed. Great service overall. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Food is good, and won’t break the bank. Dining room is small and crowded so expect a good bit of noise. The soft shell crab bao buns are my favorite.“

“First and foremost let me say this wad the first time I have visited Hamburger Heaven and I knew nothing about the place except it was close to another place I was meeting some friends and I needed to grab a bite to eat. So my expectations were nonexistent going into the place.

The atmosphere was what one would expect from burger place where you were grabbing a quick meal to hold you over to dinner.

The dinning room was a serious no frill kind of place. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not the kind of place you would take a date to impress.

Now with THAT being said, I was extremely impressed with their food. The burger I had tasted very fresh and made exactly as I ordered. The bun was not soggy and none of the condiments were overwhelming but I got a great balance of flavors with each bite.

The fries were the old style crinkle cut and you could actually taste them. They were NOT the blan fries that most of the big chain places try to pass off on everyone claiming to be fries. Definitely NOT the golden arches!

As for the service. I give 5 Stars even though they couldn't accept credit cards at the time. Luckily I happened to have cash so it wasn't an issue but I don't normally carry more than a couple dollars on me.

The people working there were friendly and the dinning room was cool and the floor was clean. I didn't see any dirty tables and the trash can that I used was completely empty.

I am curious now if the other Hamburger Heaven in Birmingham are run as well as this one.

If you are ever in the area and feel like having a great burger and/or fries... this is your place.

Parking: The parking lot looks freshly sealed and fresh stripes so it's easy to see were and how to park.

The lot was easy to get in and out of too.

Wheelchair accessibility: It looked pretty easy to get in and out of. There was not automatic doors.“
