“We were passing though the area and came upon the shop online. We picked up a picnic selection of broccoli salad, Boo’s potato salad and ham and cheese sliders. All were home made and fabulous! For dessert, we had key lime pie, which was truly exceptional. A great meal! While chatting, I inadvertently left my credit card at the counter. The ladies at the shop remembered that I was a real estate broker and found my contact info online and contacted me. I was so grateful. What extraordinary people at “What’s for Dinner”. Love the food and love the people!.”

“Absolutely amazing. One of the only things available early in the morning (especially since the bakery wasn’t open), and YUM! I’m a savory person and wasn’t in the mood for sweet, but I demolished it. The waffle batter recipe is SOLID. Perfectly filling and not too dense or heavy. Smoothie as well! I ordered for my entire family and I expected close to 20 ish minutes bc it’s a small business. It was ready in less than 8 mins for an entire family of five and drinks, AWESOME!”

“This is always our first stop upon arriving on the island. As soon as we come across the bridge, we head for a shrimp po'boy with a view! The food is always awesome, the beer cold, and the service friendly.”

“So glad we found this gem today. Really great wedge salad with shrimp and the Cuban sandwich was the best we have ever had. But the best part was they are so dog friendly. Our dogs got all sorts of snacks and everyone working was so friendly. I can’t say enough good things about this place.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had on a Friday night. It was my first time visiting the establishment, and everyone was so friendly. I actually sang karaoke ? several times and just had a blast. We will definitely be returning real soon.”

“this was our last meal out, I was insistent that we eat there..we had already eaten at island seafood, pirates, Lambert's...ALL wonderful ..three of us had seafood fettuccini, a bit of salt and pepper helped it, brother in law had red snapper, it was tough and no flavor, my wife's chopped steak , she could only eat half .tossed the rest. then waited 30 minutes for our $56.00 to go order, while it sat in a bag on a table getting cold for my son in law absolutely no excuse....if I could give it a one, I would. will not be back. Lastly, I prefer to tip based on merit....for a place to automatically charge a 20% gratuity...it certainly wasn't worth it. I also clicked on DO NOT RECOMMEND...looks like voting machines from 2020...”

“Burnedet is so amazing . She is the main reason I come. She always welcomes me with a smile. How are you? She always remembers what I like on my sandwich what I don't like and most of all I can tell. She's really happy I'm there”

“Thankful for this cafe as we waited in the heat of the ferry line. Soda and ice cream goes a long way to helping pass the time.

Parking: Not a lot of parking, but you are most here because of the ferry line.”

“We went for lunch during the week and nobody was there. We had quick service and promptly ordered Pelican Eggs- fried deviled eggs and drinks (their Beach Crack was fantastic!). Our main entrees were fish of the day, ahi tuna tacos (I didn’t think they would be so good but they were!), and a salad for my vegetarian daughter. I was able to substitute their seafood gumbo for my side with an up charge. We enjoyed it so much we’re going back tonight for dinner.”

“Had the fried fish platter for dinner by the recommendation of Jim the manager. I must say it was delicious! I would definitely recommend coming to check it out. I tried the Bushwacker frozen drink too. Also recommend trying that also.”
