A health store that doesn’t know the difference between vegan and vegetarian is unworthy of my business. Telling someone with the Alpha Gal allergy that lanolin is vegan and “you’re not eating the sheep” is unacceptable. Over half a million people in the US have this tick borne allergy so it’s time for your employees to learn some basic information!! Also, the sweet lady that answered the phone was not the reason for this review…it was the rude person in the background (not Steve who was willing to look for a mushroom answer). I’m glad I didn’t waste a trip. If my call had been returned as promised, I would have used it as a teaching opportunity. Many of us with this allergy generally prefer to handle it that way. The word “vegan” has taken on a new identity. It is the only safe way for me to buy supplements.“
