Very nice atmosphere with plenty of seating and clean interior. Staff was very welcoming, responsive, and polite.Tried the chorizo quesadilla, choriqueso dip, and the birria sopes. All had very fresh ingredients. The tortillas are definitely handmade. Chorizo wasn't as spicy as I would want or expect (none of the smokey heat I'm used to with chorizo dishes). It also made every dish it was in very oily. The queso was pretty good besides that but could definitely be a bit thicker....read full review

I grew up eating authentic Mexican food, Don Taco is the most authentic I have found (so far) in The Shoals.Service is always good and feels genuine and relaxed (seems everyone working here is pretty happy).Prices are good but, with a few beers or Margaitas, can add up (just like anywhere).

This place is consistently good. We’ve ordered all over the menu. The tacos authentic style are the best! We’ve had birria, carnitas and chicken. We’ve also had the taquitos, the soup, the the ceviche and it was all fabulous. The margaritas are good and quite pretty in presentation.
