“Hadn't been in awhile, but so glad to be back and to bring friends that are from out of town and had never been. They used to live in Mexico. My only disappointment is that it cost $3.99 for avocado to go on a taco. We did that for 2 and it was 3.99 x2. So $8 for what was less than half an avocado altogether. Maybe 1/2 or 3/4 of an avo. Will probably skip avocado next time. I grew up with avo trees in south Florida, so paying $8 for avo seems outrageous. The margaritas are excellent. We both got watermelon margs and substituted for Herradurra rather than well tequila and they were $10.99 each. A fair price, I reckon?Oh, one other minor disappointment is that we ordered two Herradurra shots towards the end and qet didn't get them. The next time the waiter came back were then told that it was too late according to the bartender since he was closing up, so we paid our check without the shots we wanted for my 40th bday.Everything else was positive. The server was really nice and helpful. We will def be back!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, the best queso according to our kids and all the Jarritos flavors??“
“I got the grilled chicken salad with shrimp added and it was really good. The only thing is the meat both chicken and shrimp were slightly over cooked. But, it was still a good salad and I had a bite of meat in every bite of food. It would also help if they diced up everything in the salad. The lettuce was shredded and the rest was all the same size as if it were in a fajita, taco or burrito. Still all in all I can live with that and cut it up myself“
“I am in town visiting in Florence AL & I wanted a really good quesadilla. My co workers who live here said Taco Mama was a really great place to have some Mexican so I decided to stop by. I was impressed with the margarita flavors they offered and they also had a unique margarita called the Prosecco fizz that was really refreshing. I had a shrimp quesadillas & I also had a blood orange margarita. It was refreshing not too sweet or tart but just the right amount of flavor. The shrimp quesadillas was absolutely huge. It had the perfect amount of shrimp/cheese ratio. My friend had barbacoa tacos and she said the meat was tender and flavorful. I also loved the fact that they had different varieties of Hot sauces including my favorite Cholula. Definitely would go back and have a few margarita on my off day. 10/10“
“Omg! Best and I do mean best mexican food around! Great prices lots of food and terrific flavors. It was my first time there and I asked our waitress what she recommended and she was so sweet and helpful. I hope when we go back...and we will I hope we get her again. We order 1 order of everything on your fajitas you can possibly think of for 2 people and still had enough left over for another meal. $18.99. What!? Oh side note who knew ? was so good? I'm sure everyone else in the world but dang I'm now hooked. To bad I'm only here for 1 more week. But to EVERYONE reading this....GO THERE. you will not be disappointed. Uh unless you actually think taco bell is mexican food! Lmao ?“
“Very good food and service. It's been a long time since we have ate somewhere that the food and servers were all good. The food was amazing, pre COVID quality.Portions were good and seasoned to perfection. There was a live band playing Hill siblings, I couldn't hear the name of the group but they were also great.“
“Still sitting at the table, my first visit. The food was delicious, fresh, fast and hot!! The service was great! Quiet atmosphere, perfect for nice conversation. Over all great friendly place. I'll be back. Prices were normal for post 2020.“
“Very nice atmosphere with plenty of seating and clean interior. Staff was very welcoming, responsive, and polite.Tried the chorizo quesadilla, choriqueso dip, and the birria sopes. All had very fresh ingredients. The tortillas are definitely handmade. Chorizo wasn't as spicy as I would want or expect (none of the smokey heat I'm used to with chorizo dishes). It also made every dish it was in very oily. The queso was pretty good besides that but could definitely be a bit thicker. Sopes was very good. Meat was tender and flavorful. Quesadilla is big enough to last AT LEAST two meals.Overall, great portions for the money but could use a bit more spice and less oil.“
“Excellent place to eat the best Mexican food, I have a love for them since I worked with them back in '94 and their treatment of the staff by the owner was great, I miss the cheese deep, I hope I visit them soon to relive old memories, blessings!“
“They traveled all the way from Florence, AL to Tupelo, MS to serve us some amazingly tasty food. The pineapple salsa is one of the top three I’ve ever had! My only regret is that I don’t live closer so I could enjoy the food more often!“
“We eat here regularly, no less than 4-6 times per month. The service and food are always amazing. Consistently. Every single time. No matter how packed and busy they are, everything is always fabulous. Any time we order to pick up, we get plenty of everything we need, chips, salsa, sides; they don’t forget a thing. We have other Mexican restaurants in town and we always go to Casa because we just know it’s the best one around!! ???“
“Today (11/27/23) was a FANTASTIC lunch. The food, Great! Service, Awesome! Price as always, amazing. I use this Taco Bell multiple times a week because they are consistently good but today just blew me away. Y’all at the Florence location are always AWESOME! (: Thank you.“
“I've eaten here several times. The food and service are always good and consistent. One of the best things here is the chips and salsa. The chips are made fresh in-house and are warm and crisp. The portion sizes are adequate for the price. The service is quick and the place is always clean. It's worth checking out, especially for the chips!“
“The rating is based upon who your server is!This place can be awesome or horrible. I try to get the same server everytime and understand if I don't get to sit in her area the experience is going to probably not go well. The food is good. Unfortunately they are changing their plates so the serving size is about half of what it used to be. But the prices haven't changed at all. So you are getting half the food for the same price.I eat here weekly and if it continues on this trend I'll be finding somewhere else to get my weekly mexican food fix!“
“Variety of choices for tacos. We got the smoked chicken, fried chicken, and the fried avocado tacos. They were all great. Salsa was pretty good and the cheese dip was terrific. The Mexican street corn was delicious. I'm happy to see something like this place in this area. The waitress we had was very friendly and helpful.Vegetarian options: Several side items, salsa/guac/queso, buffalo cauliflower taco, fried avocado taco, cheese enchiladas, the smoke show burrito (beans instead of meat), cheese quesadilla, and veggie quesadilla“
“Pretty great food and decent service. The queso is one of the best I've had, with a nice touch of spice and just the right consistency. The lunch special burrito with spicy chicken is very filling but perhaps a bit too cheesy. Very simple but yummy. The pork tamale was pretty good; the meat was very flavorful but the sauce didn't have much impact. Previously, I've also tried and loved their chicken taco salads. They're one of the few restaurants I've seen to put refried beans on it and the ingredients always taste fresh and delicious together! The only thing I haven't liked from here would be the veggie quesadilla. It was bland and more soggy than I'd like. As far as the atmosphere, it's not authentic Mexican (which is to be expected). There's hardly Mexican artists on the playlist and no mole on the menu. But overall, you'll find food you like, decent customer service, and a clean restaurant.“
