We've rounded up Muscle Shoals' top Mexican spots for you to try.
“Not only great Mexican food but the best service I've had at any of the Mexican restaurants in the area and top the of service we've had at any restaurant period in the area.Jose was incredible and fun and took care of us while we dined. Everything we tried was top notch. And it was cheaper than my usual haunts in Florence. I'll go back for sure!Vegetarian options: There's a good set of vegetarian dishes and they're very tasty. I had veggie combo 3 and it was great.Dietary restrictions: My dairy free fiance ate fine and you can get corn tortillas if you need gluten free. I can't speak about contamination risk.Parking: Parking is plentiful and fine.Kid-friendliness: There's always kid friendly food at these kinds of places like cheese quesadillas and tacos. No different here.Wheelchair accessibility: I would be able to get in and to a table with my chair fine. I have no accessibility concerns here.“
“This was my first visit here. It had been recommended to me by a friend. The food was delicious! The service was excellent and the price was very good. I will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian selection on the menu.“
“I gave atmosphere a 3, only because I went at an odd time and I was the only one in the place. That's not there fault. The food was extremely exceptional, but my cheese dip had way to much black pepper in it. The black pepper was even covering the outside of the bowl. My waitress was excellent. She got me want ever I neededVegetarian options: They said you can make most of the items vegetarian, with a few exceptionsWheelchair accessibility: The handicapped spaces for parking are very accessible. They are on each side of the front door. And the entire inside is very accessible for wheelchair and people with canes.“
“It's rare that I go to a Taco Bell and get my vegetarian order correctly made. This location got me my order 100% correct, and fairly quickly. Food was delicious and just what I was hoping for.Vegetarian options: My favorite is the black bean crunchwrap, but I also love the spicy potato soft taco and a black bean Mexican pizza or bean and cheese burrito.Dietary restrictions: If you can't do dairy, just make sure to order "fresco" style (I think that's it?), and they replace dairy products with a pico de gallo, iirc.“
“This place is a gem. Food is excellent, service is excellent, and the bathroom was so clean! So rare in this country to have such a clean and thoughtful bathroom that smelled so nice and warm during the cold spell. It's so important for moms (& dads) with small children especially :)Kid-friendliness: Clean bathrooms and plenty of high chairs“
“Rosie’s Mexican Cantina in Florence, Alabama, is a delightful dining experience that I can’t recommend enough. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with decor that is both authentic and impressively detailed, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the shrimp tacos. Each bite was a flavor explosion, with perfectly cooked shrimp nestled in soft tortillas, accompanied by fresh and flavorful toppings. It’s clear that Rosie’s uses high-quality ingredients, and the care they put into each dish is evident. Not to be overlooked, the warm tortilla chips and salsa served as an appetizer set the tone for the meal. The chips were freshly made, and the salsa struck the perfect balance of flavor and spice, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next course. The margaritas at Rosie’s are a must-try. They were expertly mixed, refreshingly tangy, and just strong enough. It’s the kind of drink that complements the meal perfectly, enhancing the dining experience.Rosie’s Mexican Cantina has managed to create an atmosphere that’s as vibrant and satisfying as its food. The attention to detail in the decor, from the colorful art to the thoughtfully arranged seating, adds to the restaurant’s charm and appeal. In conclusion, Rosie’s Mexican Cantina is a must-visit for anyone in Florence looking for authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine. The combination of fantastic food, great drinks, and a captivating atmosphere makes for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend Rosie’s to locals and visitors alike, and I look forward to my next meal there.“
“We really enjoy having this restaurant in the community. The food is great, the people are wonderful, and the karaoke nights offer a family friendly night out! We have been enjoying this place for a few years now and look forward to our next visit!“
“Little Mexico (#2 location Killen) is it great Mexican restaurant to eat at. It is similar to many of the other Mexican themed restaurants in the area as La hacienda, casa Mexicana, fiesta Mexicana etc. The taste of the food dishes however is exceptional and somewhat better than their competition. There is however one complaint that I have and that is depending on which server you have you may take different prices for different things. In the beginning it's a lot of overcharging or mistaken orders but in time this has gotten better. There's plenty of room for dining and also for parking. It would be better for handicapped patrons if Little Mexico had a paved parking lot section for handicapped parking. As it is the gravel parking area is not as easy to wheelchair on. The restaurant is handicapped accessible however and once you make it to the concrete porch you've got it made.Little Mexico grill is my favorite Shoals Mexican restaurant compared to the other of its type. It is not Tex-Mex as you have with Rosie's cantina but rather more traditional Mexican flavor. But if you want Mexican dishes and more traditional Mexican dishes then little Mexico is a great choice.Just be careful to check your receipt to make sure you're charged correctly for what you ordered.Parking: The parking lot is mostly gravel which makes it a little difficult if you have a wheelchair but other than that the parking is great and plentiful.“
“Hadn't been in awhile, but so glad to be back and to bring friends that are from out of town and had never been. They used to live in Mexico. My only disappointment is that it cost $3.99 for avocado to go on a taco. We did that for 2 and it was 3.99 x2. So $8 for what was less than half an avocado altogether. Maybe 1/2 or 3/4 of an avo. Will probably skip avocado next time. I grew up with avo trees in south Florida, so paying $8 for avo seems outrageous. The margaritas are excellent. We both got watermelon margs and substituted for Herradurra rather than well tequila and they were $10.99 each. A fair price, I reckon?Oh, one other minor disappointment is that we ordered two Herradurra shots towards the end and qet didn't get them. The next time the waiter came back were then told that it was too late according to the bartender since he was closing up, so we paid our check without the shots we wanted for my 40th bday.Everything else was positive. The server was really nice and helpful. We will def be back!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, the best queso according to our kids and all the Jarritos flavors??“
“I was in town from San Diego (Mexican food heaven), so I was glad to find delicious authentic Mexican food so far from home. I had the Supreme Burrito with grilled chicken, which came topped with sour cream, lettuce, tomato, a delicious burrito sauce with rice and beans. Great service, great prices, great portions.“
