“We were passing through Florence on our way back to Mississippi and stopped there to eat. Nice family atmosphere and very clean. We ordered the two piece catfish plate and had enough left for fish sandwiches the next day. The food was awesome! Catfish was crispy on the outside and flaky inside. The hush puppies were light and crispy. The slaw was the best ever. Delicious well prepared meal. We hope to visit again.“

“Let's start with the bad first, the waiter was not very good at all. This was late but still way before closing. There's just too many things to list that he needs to improve on. I'll list one thing. I had to hunt him down twice. Now on to the food. I absolutely loved the Mariners Boil. Old Bay and butter. It was delicious. I'm from Maryland and have seriously missed the steamed blue crabs. This didn't take their place but it sure helped.“

“The hospitality and steak were equally as good. When I travel I look for a good steak or seafood, George’s nailed both. The shrimp cocktail and ribeye were just what I was looking for, and the old fashion was on point. If you’re in the shoals/florence area I highly recommend stopping in. I sat at the bar and got in quickly, luckily as there was one spot left. If you have a party you may want to call in a reservation as they fill up quickly around dinner time.“
