“Toke offers Tai and Japanese cuisine. Toke features a wide variety of American style sushi rolls and many meals from the grill and Hibachi. We enjoyed the Tempura Calamari appetizer. My wife ordered the combination rib steak and scallops. It was served with house salad, cup of soup, fried rice, and vegetables. I ordered scallops. It was also served with house salad, cup of soup, fried rice, and vegetables. The vegetables consisted of sautéed zucchini and cabbage. My wife ordered her steak rare, expecting it to be served medium to well done. Medium-rare is her preference, but experience indicates Hibachi steak is usually always served closer to well done. As expected, the rib steak was served medium to well done. The scallops of both meals were well prepared and very good. The soup was pleasing, and the salads were crisp and fresh. I intended to present Entree photos, but there was a bit of a wait after we enjoyed the soup and salad before receiving our appetizers and entrees. Consequently, when the rest of the meal arrived, I was ready to enjoy it and forgot about the photos. The restaurant was dimly lit, creating a quiet romantic atmosphere. The seats in the booth where we dined showed a lot of wear, as the vinyl had split and the padding was exposed. The staff was friendly and polite. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. We will be dining there again soon to try other offerings from the extensive menu.“
“Let me preface this by saying.........sushi is a waste! No matter how much I like it, I can make it at home for a fraction of the price. Nori, rice, and a few vegetables constitute what most people eat. With actual raw fish, it's usually only the rice and a small amount of said fish. With that said, if you're in the mood for sushi, this place is fantastic at around a dollar a bite. The seafood is fresh and it's a much better deal than most other places.“
“On any given time, I would rate this experience 4 stars across the board, but tonight, just wasn't one of those nights, and a business needs to know where it comes short. It wasn't a busy night at Osaka, only had 2 grills going, serviced by the same server. That server ended up not being very proactive, and didn't come around hardly at all. Both parties had to get up to get their own to go boxes being left alone so long after the cooks had already left, and then because we had a six or more party, stuck us with an 18% tip on top of it all. Unfortunately under no circumstance did service earn that gratuity, needless to say I'll remember to never come back with anything over 5 people, or we will find somewhere else to eat going forward, this isn't a cheap place to eat, and we spent nearly $70 for 3 people in my family alone. For Osaka, I recommend a retraining reminder for your servers to be attentive to your clients, and earn that 18% gratuity they're stuck with or earn the tips they get. Everyone at the table agreed it was poor service.“
