“CB was fairly busy, even at the tail end of breakfast. The hostess greeted us with a smile and super, "how you'll doing. We were seated quickly. Our server was quick to serve us. Our food and drink was very timely and hot and fresh and so ooo very good. Great coffee. Server kept check on us nicely. Dining room was clean and the store was clean and well stocked with goodies, whatnots, clothing, candles. Restrooms and outside very clean. Nicely done. Checkout was very friendly.Parking: Big parking lot, well marked and signs for handicapped and take out parking in good view.“

“We have had lunch and dinner here several times which was very good each time.Today we did breakfast and had the breakfast bar which has a very large assortment and what we had was very good. We had a wonderful experience.Want to give a special shout out to Sandra who was very friendly and made us feel like we were old friends.We definitely will have breakfast again and try the menu side of breakfast.“
“Have been going to this place for so many years. Don't get to go as much as would like but I really enjoy the chicken and dressing , macaroni & cheese, and the green beans. Most of the time the rolls. Unfortunately last time they were hard. My dad got the veggie plate and really liked all his options as well.“

“Had dinner with family and loved the experience so much. I started with a cocktail that was delicious, followed by an appetizer of oysters. The oysters were so tasty and so far Donald, our waiter, was very attentive and knowledgeable. I decided to try the noodle bowl and was not disappointed. The seafood in the bowl was seasoned and prepared perfectly. The broth was so yummy it could have stood on its own. I love the seating choices, (chef's counter, bar, table) the decor, the location, and the service. I love this place!“
“Absolutely awesome. Came to do a repair on the owner’s car, and we decided to get food when we went in to talk to her. I got the fried pork chop plate with corn nuggets and mashed potatoes. Everything was made fresh, and steaming when she set the plates on our table! The fried pork chop was honestly the best I’ve ever ate, and the sides were delicious. I washed it down with a very reasonable $2 large cup of sweet tea, (with refills) and was full to bursting when I left. 10/10 would recommend.“
“A friend told me about this restaurant. I was told if I wanted a good lunch I should try this place. So I went in and I looked at The steam table. And I decided I would try them for lunch. I am a little critical of soulful restaurants because I cook pretty good myself. If I must say so. Lol. But nevertheless, I ordered my food, and I was very pleased with my meal. As far as takeout soul food goals, this meal was pretty good. I also have to give credit what credit is due. The cornbread muffins were awesome. I would definitely eat here again, and I have shared my experience with at least eight or nine of my friends already and told them they need to go and try .“
“Update 1/26/24 - Stopped by today and had the fried fish! Perfect! Two (2) extra large lightly battered catfish that was flakey and tasty. Had a side of fried okra and greens. This is my go to place whenever I have to go to BHAM!Original review - The right words to describe this place fail me... All that I can say is AWESOMEATOR! A true gem that you would never expect to find in a gas station, and an Exon at that. Fresh, hot, tasty, Southern Cooking with a side of sass from the employees! I love it! The only down fall is that there is no dine in option and you either have to take it to go or eat in your vehicle! I had two of the best pork chops lightly battered, with no grease residue, some fresh green beans with a mysterious twang, creamed corn, and collards, a roll and drink for under $11.00? Where does this happen? NOWHERE! This place is truly awesome. Liquor store on one end, deli on the other and a convenience store in the middle. Need fire wood? No problem they sell that as well. The toilets are outside around the side of the building. Unbelievable. I was tipped off about this place by a young woman that lives in Mount Olive and works at the Off Road Connection Performance store on 31 South. Thank you! Do not miss this one.“
“Food was okay, but not outstanding. Service was very disappointing. One server for entire room, and she did her best but could not keep up. Drink was frequently empty, and things I would have asked for were not taken care of. She simply had too many tables, and I fault the management for that. This restaurant is known for that. Meal was too expensive for it to be served like this.“
