It's been awhile since I have been in Hartselle's Captain D's. I went in and ordered some to go plates. If the customer service I saw tonight is their norm then the staff should school our other fast food restaurants on how to run a business. The cashier was super friendly and helpful and the order filled promptly and correctly and the last thing I heard as I picked up my order was,"We appreciate you sir".
Food is always fresh and hot. The customer service can't be beat. This location is always in the top 5 in the district and they have reward banners on the wall.
Best Captain D's I have ever eaten at! Store is clean, restrooms were clean, the gentleman who served us at the counter was extremely nice. Food was hot and fresh. I will for sure be returning to this location.

However, the dining area is in need of some remodeling and maintenance, as there are reports of mold and mildew on the walls due to leaking windows and wet paneling. Despite this, the lobby is always clean and well-stocked, and the famous sweet tea is considered the best in Alabama. The food is made with care, and the employees are very accommodating. While the fries may be a bit soggy at times, the fish, shrimp, and chicken are all good. Overall, Captain D's provides a welcoming and kid-friendly atmosphere, with wheelchair accessibility and fast service, making it a top choice in Hartselle.
