“Got this delivered by GrubHub. The order was perfect. The fried chicken was nice and crispy. I got the wing and breast. The breast was a bit tough but still had moisture in it. It is hard to keep it fresh when the delivery service has 3 other stops before you. Because it was delivery I cannot comment on atmosphere. The collards were perfectly done and not shredded. The mac & cheese was not as cheesy as I like but was still really good. I would order it again! The hot-water corn bread was a new experience (hey I am a Yankee transplant) and was delicious! I will definitely be ordering from them again, and one day actually go to their shop.“

“We were seated at 5:30pm with no wait, atmosphere was relaxing and the restaurant was clean. Our server was pleasant and timely. We ordered the rosemary chicken and the chicken in dressing. Food was tasty and the prices were very reasonable. After 4 days of dinner disappointments at other restaurants. I would definitely recommend starting here. We were not disappointed.“

“First visit to a buffet, since the pandemic. You have to eat with grace, asking God to bless the meal because there were lots of food and lots of peoples. The food was okay, I enjoyed it, but the veggies needed more soul food seasoning. They were a wee bit too bland. I probably would visit there again, perhaps. I am not too up on buffets during this Coved crisis. But I would recommend this restaurant and also recommend the cooks adding some seasoning spices or herbs or margarine to their veggies“

“I’ve had the shrimp poboy at least 10 times. The shrimp is always breaded and cooked to perfection, and they load the sandwich up to the point that I wonder if they make any money off of it. The poboy bread is soft and flaky like you would expect a Cajun restaurant to have. I’m always satisfied when I leave. 10/10!“
