“The Hatter Cafe was such a nice surprise and wonderful experience when my Boyfriend and I came to Mentone for a quick weekend getaway. We stopped at the gift shop and had a chat with the owner, ordered 2 loaves of their fresh delicious bread, and came back for dinner at the café. It was amazing and the service was top notch! The experience was so wonderful that we came back for breakfast. If you are ever in this neck of the woods, give them a try, you won't regret it!”

“A wonderful experience, and the best coffee I’ve had recently: I had the apple crisp latte. Their syrups are homemade, and I’m still blown away by the taste. It’s like a Fall hug in a cup. Absolutely loved the cream cheese danish and the strawberry white chocolate scone. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. ❤️ This will be The Spot next time I find myself in Ft. Payne. Edited to add: ended up taking a couple of bakehouse cookies to go and didn’t make it far before biting into one. Shortbread with buttercream icing. It gave me goosebumps it was dang good. 😭🤣😂”

“My husband and I are from out of time and we stopped by thinking this place was a bakery . We was greeted by a friendly staff member which told us about the restaurant and let us know what her favorites were , we purchased some sweets and thanked her . We spend the afternoon talking about what she had recommended if we would come back for dinner . Well we did and the same staff member greeted us and she was our waitress and was so friendly and itentive to our needs/wants. The food was absolutely delicious- I ate a cup of chili as in appetizers and then the Blackend Chicken Alfredo (which was recommended)for my meal - the Alfredo came with a dinner roll that was so good . My husband had the hamburger and fries which was very good . We ate some of the sweets (chocolate chip cookie) for our snack tonight and that was so good . I would recommend this place and if we are ever back in this area will will definitely eat here again”

“Be careful when ordering specials in Fort Payne, FALSE ADVERTISMENT !!! Sign on front window of the place has one price, but you get charged a higher price. when I asked the cashier about it, she said "I guess that's an old sign"?? I asked to speak to a manager and he tells me the prices just went up, but we are not able to remove the sign until we are told to 🤷🏻‍♂️ Last time we will EVER come here..... 🖕🏼 Fort Payne Wingstop !!!”

Manager Kate was so informative and Nicholas was BEYOND patient with taking/fixing our order when we had to edit it! “The Fort Payne Sonic ”IS” the best Sonic!! I have tried other Sonic drive-Ins, but have been disappointed at most all of them! The Folks at Sonic in Fort Payne always try their best to make your food and visit a pleasant experience. If you have an issue, tell them they will do their very best to make things right.. While the whole world has been closed in someway the last 18 months due to the covid virus, Sonic Fort Payne has been open taking care of their Customers, I should know I visit often!!! Great Folks! Great Food! Thank You Sonic - Fort Payne!!”
