“First time ever in Birmingham on vacation to visit my family, and went to eat at oceans seafood and chicken and was really surprised. I recommend y'all try them. Facts.”

“Been here 3 days in a row. Got hibachi chicken with extra vegetables instead of rice the first night. It was good, just needed a little salt and pepper. I regretted not getting extra yum yum sauce. The next 2 nights I got a 10pc wing combo. The first night was no mods except I ordered 2 flavors and thought the nuclear sauce came on the side and my wings were split sauced 50/50 which was fine until that nuclear sauce hit me lol My man didn’t talk the rest of the night after I gave him one. It made the other 5 buffalo mild wings seem super hot, but I’m addicted now. Second set of wings drenched in wet ranch with a couple cups of nuclear sauce ON THE SIDE. This is the way to order it swimming in ranch with the nuclear sauce poured over it. I just finished it and I’m still thinking about it. My man got the 2pc catfish fried crispy and loved it. You still have to season your fries though. I’m not taking off a star for that, because I don’t mind putting my seasonings on it (just cavender’s, but IYKYK). Plus, extra points for having Coke Zero gets that extra star from me every time. +2 if you have root beer, because that makes my dude happy. *You can order online so when Spectrum in the area is being trash so you can still pay with a card. That’s what happened tonight and they still made my order with a smile* The staff has been super friendly and respectful each time I’ve went. Seems like they’re there to please the customers. I’m so lucky to have both of my favorite places to eat right next door to each other almost touching!!”

“The fried alligator was good. The Gumbo wasn't tasty. But overall the Seafood Boil & Fried Shrimp taste good as well. The atmosphere was fun and lively. I would recommend and I would also go again. The drinks were delicious as well!”

“We are visiting Birmingham this weekend for the Lake Street Dive show tomorrow. Restaurant Week led us to OvenBird. Last night we ordered the Tomato Salad, Hanger Steak and Roasted Chicken. Among the best, most delicious meal we’ve ever had. The Tomato Salad is over the top delectable. Chris, our server, welcomed us to the restaurant and to Birmingham with informative, gracious service. Highly recommended!”

They were timely, prepared, and eager to help us in any capacity. They served everyone with a smile and pleasant attitude. Our event was a success because of the delicious food and excellent service. We are so glad to have found a partner in Gus's and look forward to having them at future events.”
