“Ordered takeout for my wife and I, extremely happy with our choice. This will definitely be our go to restaurant and is worth exiting the downtown area for. Our bowls were fantastic and the ingredients were fresh and high quality. The pork belly bao mi was fantastic, would eat a bowl of the pork belly by itself if I had the option. The staff was extremely kind and helpful (thank you Danny) and our order was ready super quick. Definitely our favorite restaurant in Lane Park and will be on top of our list of go-to’s!“

“Our server, Carlos was excellent as was food. But i left unhappy. When my eggs arrived I wanted salt and pepper. The pepper grinder was empty. Carlos was busy with another customer so i asked another server for some pepper and handed him the empty. He said “ok” and went to the server station. He did something at that station for a minute. Then refilled some water glasses. Then took an order. Then delivered food to another table. Meanwhile my eggs were getting cold. I finally got up and took pepper from an empty table. Very frustrating for a server to ignore and blow off a customer simply because they aren't your table.“

“My office loves catering Maki Fresh! The ingredients are always fresh and is always a hit, honestly it is hard to not want Maki Fresh EVERY time we get food. They are always timely and kind and I have never had an issue with an order from their store. I have had an issue through Uber while ordering Maki Fresh but their staff was extra accommodating, kind, and supportive throughout the whole process! Very thankful for their kindness and cannot recommend them enough!!! Thank you!“

It seemed that hardly any eatery would be open and there wasn't time allowance to drive out of the downtown area, without being late for the next activity. Thus, we settled on a mid-afternoon lunch/dinner at Tasty Town. Honestly, both of us thought it was better than we had anticipated and the service and location were top notch. Thanks, Tasty Town! “First time visit last night. Holy cow. Talk about amazing food. Ordered the Palmero (sp) pizza and salad. I felt like I was in Italy. The ingredients are so fresh tasting. Cant say enough about their pizza. Thin crust. Able to enjoy the pizza and not have a mouth full of bread. Fast service. Love the professionalism of the owner / bakers. They had on a chef coats and “Italy” caps. The place was extremely clean and VERY inviting. My friend that I went with used the facilités and she came out and was remarking how awesome the bathrooms even were. Def will be eating there again and again. Welcome to Trussville.“

“I absolutely love this place! literally, this place is absolutely phenomenal. there's two separate bartenders that are there on any given morning... both these girls are absolutely fantastic. both of them are really really pretty and they've got amazing attitudes, they've always got a smile on their face and what's amazing is, you can walk in on a Monday morning like this morning, knowing it's Monday and it's overcast and those two girls were laughing and cutting up and smiling and it just put you in a really really really amazing mood to start your day. I'm of the belief that if we can be around people that can brighten our day, then we definitely should. these girls start my morning off on a positive foot. I don't feel like a customer, honestly I try to bring them either energy drinks or donuts and then eat the world's greatest biscuits and gravy, that gravy is absolutely amazing, and there's always a smile on their face, it's always an amazing time and I look forward to each time I come which is about 3 or 4 days a week. the stores always really clean, and it smells amazing. the restrooms are always in great condition, sitting at the bars amazing, there's never food left around or sitting around, they're quick to clean up the tables, these girls really run the show, and everybody else in the background does an amazing job too. really thankful for this place, and I'm really glad that I get to be a part of the BBB family! “I absolutely love having a cafe style grill and juice bar in town. Everything is made to order and fresh!! I’ve had the shrimp and grits, avocado toast, hummus, pizza, and a variety of juices. I have 1-2 meals on the weekends and juices last me throughout the work week. Don’t forget to get some fresh herbs for any health concerns you have!!!! Very kind owners and staff.“

“We have always enjoyed Baha Burger. Due to medical issues, it’s been some time since we last ate there. The owner was always so courteous to us and eager for us try new things. He introduced me to the delicious remoulade that is a must for all things I order. However, our most recent experience made us feel differently. I know people have off days. We are all entitled to them….BUT…while we were eating, we overheard the owner yelling at the cook (he was standing directly behind us) about how many tater tots he put on my sons plate. He said it was too much for a child portion and went on and on about it. There were nine tater tots on his plate and he ate them all. My son overheard him yelling at the cook and asked me if he should give some of them back. That hurt my heart that my five year old felt guilty eating a meal that was set in front of him. I’m sure we will still give them our business because the food is amazing. I just hope the owner understands that sometimes things should be handled differently. Nine tater tots was not a true reason to have gotten so upset. Now if it had been ten….😜“

The sides were a la carte with pasta dishes. They have plenty of salads but I would suggest they add something like green beans to the menu...a green vegetable besides salad. The bread was soft and tasty. I would suggest spaghetti noodles vs rigatoni/penne for the chicken parm but chicken was great.“

I went with my sister and my brother-in-law for dinner, we felt like we were eating in the French quarter. It’s the best Cajun food I’ve had north of New Orleans. You must try the shrimp, poor boy, better yet get the surf and turf because the roast beef will blow your mind. My sister and I also had the gumbo, the hush puppies are Devine, succotash was really good, and oh my wonderful tastebuds, the muffaletta was something like you would have on Bourbon Street. If you like Cajun food, this place has great food and a fun environment with lots of outdoor seating. Dog friendly to boot! I highly recommend that you try this at least once if you live in Birmingham or are visiting.“
