6 Best Italian Restaurants near Northport

“Ok I love Mr G’s in Northport but we just had the worst experience there. We ordered 2 ham and cheese sandwich’s, one with fries and the other with side salad. After around 45 minutes with no food I went to check on it. The cashier went in the back and asked about it and they were shaking their heads so she came and printed out another ticket. I heard one of the men ask her something in an irritated voice and she told him she was just checking on her order. I had been very nice up until I heard him get an attitude so obviously I felt I needed to get one to. She came back and said they were just waiting for them to come out of the oven. I said really then why were they acting like they didn’t know there was an order if it was in the oven. I could tell she was getting flustered having to deal with them and I was starting to get more than just annoyed so I just said ok and went back to my seat. After another 20 minutes we got our food. I noticed the man that had ordered after us walking up to the register with his receipt and when he came back by I asked if he was still waiting on his food. He was and said that if they ever got their food they were never coming back. When we finished and were leaving they were still sitting there waiting. Mr G’s you may have just lost a lot of return business tonight.“

“What a wonderful meal! Destiny, our server was very pleasant and refilled our drinks without calling for her! She check how we were doing just the right amount of time! I hope we get her again next time we come to town. Oh the Calamari were well seasoned and fried perfectly.“

“Everything! The food is absolutely delicious! We spent my birthday April 2 at Depalmas… You will love everything. The service is top tier. We always ask to be seated with our waiter Carlos. Our desert was the bread pudding and it was Chefs 😘 wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.“

“Our server, Avery, was very friendly and helpful. Twice the managers checked in on us, which I appreciate. The fried ravioli was delicious as was the Pasta Carnavoro. The red wine, a Nebbiolo, was delicious. The only misfire was the NY strip. I know steak cuts can be hit or miss and I just didn't hit the lottery on this particular cut (only half was edible). It was seasoned and cooked fine, just very, very grissly. All else was wonderful and we had a very romantic dinner at a reasonable price. Definitely will go back.“
