“I work for a highly respected law firm in Birmingham and we had the BEST catering experience from Bongiorno's last night. Tiz was incredible and owner, Ozzie, even came to help create a perfect evening. Quality food, quality service, and the best feeling of supporting a family-owned restaurant!“
“Found this place in a whim when I was looking at the menu at Chez Lulu. Decided to try it out - pleasantly surprised and wondering why I had never heard of it. Goat-cheese stuffed artichoke hearts are creamy and rich, calamari is perfectly cooked and not rubbery and the spicy sauce with pepperoni was excellent. Entrees were amazing - couscous is light and flavorful, vegetables are roasted and the sauces…wow. Get the pasta! Desserts shine and are all made in-house. Recommend the trifle! Only thing “okay” was the drinks, honestly. Not well balanced and some of their specialty martinis just don’t work well, in my opinion. Overall, highly recommended and I’ll definitely return.“
“Jordan was our server and she was so friendly, very knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was amazing! You can't go wrong with anything you order. Get the dessert! Don't pass it up. It's divine! The Sangria was so tasty and not overly sweet!“
“If you have never been before GO. The atmosphere, the customer service, THE FOOD, is all impeccable. I have been twice this month with my husband. The food is fresh to order and they have the best garlic bread ever. Even just going in to sit at the bar is a great experience. 10/10 and definitely one of our favorite places to eat. ♥️“
“This is probably(?) the most upscale Italian restaurant in Birmingham.I ordered shrimp risotto as an appetizer, and for mains I ordered basic pasta and New York strip steak. As you can see, the risotto has a small amount of rice and is very salty, but not to the point of being inedible. The pasta and steak were really delicious. I cooked the steak medium and it was just perfect. Although the quantity was a little small, the quality was acceptable.Oh, that's right, the other customers were dressed up in dresses or suits, but I was the only one dressed casually, which was a bit embarrassing. Please refer to this before your visit.“
“The staff were extremely accommodating when half of our party was running late to our reservation due to traffic. Everyone was extremely friendly, and the meals came out promptly. The food was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone in the Birmingham area.Vegetarian options: Seven vegetable penne, manicotti, baked ziti, several of the pizza and calzone options“
“I recently had the opportunity to dine At Carrabba’s location Leslie was my server, and she was amazing polite, very considerate and concern in regards to every detail of our experience, lovely person, request her if you want an opportunity for a special occasionVegetarian options: The bread and oil dip is amazing for starters and then you have a super salad choice and and then there is Sautéed spinachMushrooms“
“Service was absent. Waitress argued with my dad about an appetizer quality. So he refused to order any more food little did they know he was picking up the check. Food was okay. Not 5 star. Took us 4 hours to eat and get out. Waitress had 6 tables with 39 people in upscale restaurant. Been waiting years to go here. Service really was worse than Applebees“
“I could honestly go on about this place forever. The pizza is incredible. The venison is the best. The servers are all friendly and attentive. This is genuinely my favorite restaurant in Birmingham. I am bias though because I'm Italian, but it truly is an incredible place. Such a good bang for the buck.“
“This place has the best- most authentic- tiramisu in AL, no exceptions. Went with my folks tonight and had the seafood ravioli for an entree. Not only was the bread crispy and the (seemingly) infused olive oil to dip with perfectly seasoned, but my ravioli sauce... I tried to pinpoint the flavor profile and never could. It was so amazing, but I couldn't put my finger on what made it that way. Hats off to Chef Andrew. He and Scott, our waiter, made that meal a perfect way to celebrate my parents' anniversary. Absolutely no complaints.“
“This is the only pizza place that has not made me depressed since moving back from CT/NYC. The crust is EXCELLENT, perfect even. The toppings quality is excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was the sweetness and low acidity of the red sauce.“
“I have been eating here for over thirty years and having the all you can eat lasagna that is phenomenal on Thursdays or the Richman sub that has olive salad on it that just makes the sandwich if you like olives, it is great! I do enjoy eating here on the patio. They have had an older patio but just renovated the patio and it has a roof and it’s larger. It makes a very nice spot to eat lunch and enjoy the afternoon.“
“First time eating here. Was doing work at a business suite in the same building. Walked in on a whim. Was greeted by a nice lady who took the time to give me some background information on the building and its origin, and even gave me a few recommendations on things to try.I ended up ordering two slices of pizza. Tried the original cheese and the meat lovers. Both slices were fantastic. The crust is different from most pizza places but was delicious and both soft and crunchy.I would definitely recommend this place and will be going back to try other things on their menu.“
“What an amazing experience. Flat bread was absolutely phenomenal. The pizza was just like how I’ve had in Italy with authentic ingredients. Tiramisu was good as well! Absolutely love this place. Server was extremely busy so I get it if there are some complaints of slow service, but we had a great time here.“
“I have heard positive experiences about Pizzeria GM from multiple people and decided to try it. Once I got there, the atmosphere was great, friendly, and very welcoming. We went during a pretty busy time during the day but the staff was able to get us a table quickly. Everyone who was working at the restaurant was attentive and could answer any questions we had with no hesitation. The menu has many different options that people can choose from whether it be appetizers or main course dishes. Once the food arrived, we were so glad we decided to come here. The pizza was great, it was shared between some friends and me, and we all had nothing but positive things to say. It also is a very family-friendly restaurant. Overall, I would go here again because the staff was so friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious!“
“Went in to grab a quick lunch and chose the Italian sub. Everything on it was fresh and the meat used was of good quality as well. It's nice to be able to get a sub and actually taste the individual ingredients instead of the usual bland mess thrown at us by most chains.“
“We chose to sit outside for lunch at Grand Ticino and really enjoyed the atmosphere! James took excellent care of us and made sure we were happy with the entire experience. We had cocktails, appetizers and entrees and everything was fantastic! Our only problem was we were too full for dessert! I highly recommend! #205adventures“
“We have gone to Freddy’s many times and always had an amazing experience! The service is always amazing, the wine plentiful, and the food delicious and consistent. We had a party for my husband’s birthday this past weekend and were so impressed by the execution of service. If you want to be truly taken care of, come to Freddy’s!“
“Best Pizza Ever!! This is the best place in Birmingham. No doubt whatsoever. You can have Russelli's in any mood and you'll drastically approve. I at first had them while at a night out and thought it was just my intoxicated taste buds thinking it was great- but it was as amazing even sober. This place seriously is too good for this world and I'll forever love this place.“
“We left Culinary Dropout after drinks took 20+ minutes to come here - We had a great dinner. Walter was awesome - super informative and ready to assist with anything at all times. The carpaccio was plated that morning or the day before (hate that), the $15 dollar buttered pita bread was terrible, everything else was amazing though! We had numerous pizzas which were great and the bolognese was also really good.“
“Been coming to this place on our trips to Bham for years. Amazing pizza and pastas! We recently tried their cheesecake and it was creamy & delicious. They stay crowded and you can expect a short wait to get your food, however it’s very worth it. Front desk lady was cracking me up on our last trip. They really try hard to give you a great experience.“
“Love that you are back! The owner was so sweet today and Mr Tamburro was the best. Same food and delicious. Just so many great memories going to the old location growing up. I wish you so much success! Cannot wait to be back again. Do not forget about their house salad dressing.. so good. Thank you!!!! So happy you are back. Loved being the third customer today!!!“
“You can usually count on Olive Garden for a good meal, and this time was no exception. We had 6 in our group and the breadsticks and salad just kept coming. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The wait was short, even though it was lunchtime, and the service was excellent.“
“Stopped at Pazzo Pizza Truck and grabbed this huge slice of pizza. There is honestly not much to complain about here I just kinda with the sausage crumbles had more flavor maybe better quality not sure if they make those in house or store bought already made but man was this pizza soooooo freaking good and hot! The cheese was perfect with a nice sweet flavor just how I like it, pepperoni was huge and delicious could really taste that smoky pork flavor, the cheese was so well cheesy with a light mild flavor and just amazing, and guys that crust it was a perfect golden brown it was a perfect New York foldable slice and that's what I did I folded that bad boy and destroyed it! Please go check them out and if you can't find their truck then go to their brick and mortar at Pazzo Big Slice! They get a 9.5/10 from me great pizza!“
“So, getting ready to open up an antique booth on Crestwood in Birmingham so went looking for a great restaurant. Well, we found it! The Filling Station is a def winner, with burgers to die for, great wings, amazing pizza and Stromboli and calzones along with a variety af starters and entrees! Brandi, our bartender did a great job with a bar full of customers. My burger was cooked just right and the peppers were grilled and made the sandwich amazing. My wife raved about the wings also! With seating inside and a covered outside seating area, multiple tv's to watch the games and with servers well trained I would highly recommend trying the Filling Station out! Well done!“
“Tried out Vecchia for lunch today. Located in the Moss Rock area of Hoover it was a little out of the way for us, but was recommended by a friend. At first glance, from the outside, I thought that this might be a nice place. Upon entrance I was shuttled down a narrow hallway lined with drinks and wines to a cashiers desk. We placed our order and served ourselves bottled drinks, from a cooler behind us.The prices for a 10 oz pie were $18 so I was hoping for a great find in wood fired pizza for our area.We then went around the corner to a very table cluttered dining area. After noticing that if you asked for water that it was “self serve” from a high school style water fountain in plastic cups. No wait staff roomed the area, only the cashier and the two cooks. When the pizza arrived it was fresh out of the wood fired oven. Nice char in spots but the bottom was still a little under cooked. I ordered the classic pepperoni but had to search to find said toppings. Scarce and unevenly distributed. Then came the bite; the tip of my slice was soggy and limp. No crunch. The bone was nice and crisp with good flavor. The red tomato sauce was bland at best, no spices, I ended up adding salt to my slice to help the flavor. Cheese was thin but nice flavor and pull.I looked for Parmesan, but had to go to the water fountain to find the powdered cheese shaker. (No fresh Parmesan available)Nothing was on the tables but a beer bucket with plastic utensils and off brand napkins. For what was told to me was a true Italian pizzeria I was disappointed. Pizza wasn’t bad but could have been so much better with somespices and flavor. And charging these prices I would expect some wait staff and fountain drinks. (Ditch the high school water fountain).Establishment was clean and staff was nice. Food was OK, maybe even good had it been a lower price point. But Vecchie has some loyal followers and it was busy for that time of day, so others must enjoy it.Overall 3.5 stars!“
“Hubby and I were riding around waiting for a Drs appt when we saw this establishment. Never been to this area of Trussville and we like to try different pizza places so in we went! It was wonderful! They had just opened for the day so it wasn't busy YET! Can't believe it wouldnt be covered up, the pizza was delish! Flavors distinctive and fresh ingredients, a really really good pizza. We have already decided we will be back both with our grands (when they come to visit) and at our next drs appt! Highly recommend!“
“My husband and I come to the Hoover location several times a year and when we have family visit we bring them too… the food is always amazing and we have always had wonderful service from the staff… prices are affordable and the servings are so plentiful… the restaurant itself is a little dated but always clean and accommodating .my favorite is the cannaloni and the hubs loves the beef sovlaki thank you costas for all that you are … Chris and Mandy Reynolds“
“Olive Garden at hoover, My friends and I had a reservation 2 weeks back when we reached there the person told there is no reservation under our name however after showing the message they told to wait so that they will arrange the table for us. In this situation there was a lady at the reception desk who was so rude and we felt discriminating and disrespectful the way she treated us as we are also customers to the restaurants and we weren’t any free loaders there the attitude in her face showed it all when the restaurant is hiring people at front desk they should have minimal knowledge how the person should greet and treat the customers. Due to such kind of people we do not feel like going the restaurant“
“I had a calzone. It was delicious. I got it to go, but they didn't give me enough marinara sauce. The sauce is excellent by the way! As others have said here, the service is a bit slow, but the restaurant was full because the food is simply delicious! This is a local hang out and they have been in business for a while!! They had a decent selection of beers. (Not just Budweiser). Also, I saw different wines at the bar. There are three rooms for seating, and one room has padded seating on the wall. It was very clean! The best thing was, it was not too loud to have a conversation, and even hear people three chairs down! This was on a Wednesday 7pm. I would say good vibes here for sure.“
“I go here almost once a week because its close to work, and food is always delicious and consistent. This is a quick pasta place, it is not fine dining, so manage your expectations. The owners are very nice and always helpful. If they mess something up they will fix it and go above and beyond for you. Simple pasta dishes with easy to identify ingredients. Open Kitchen, you know what you are getting. Portions are decent size and fresh ingredients. Also try the amazing tea assortment! I'm a big fan!Vegetarian options: everything I get is vegetarianParking: plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: unfortunately, pretty kid friendly lol ; )Wheelchair accessibility: very accessible“
