“Man this place is a total DIVE!!! You never know what you may see ?.We don't go here often although it is the closest bar to the house a few miles up the road, so with that said.... A game of pool and a drink here and there we do enjoy, the food has always been pretty decent for it's price and being "BAR FOOD". DEFINITELY better than any M fast-food.Drinks are pretty cheap compared to the few other places I've been.Biggest downside is that it is SMOKEY.... Your clothes will smell like an ash tray.But hey they are open late then open super early for breakfast to cure that hangover ?“

“Tuesday Nights Unplugged Music sessions are phenomenal! I don’t play an instrument, I enjoy listening. The people who come to listen &/or play are friendly and welcoming! Very Relaxed environment with the sofas & chairs! Amazed by all the local talent & the extended variety of instruments played! The musicians work in other professions & come there to relax, play & hang out. They do not offer food, people bring in food, e.g. Whole In The Wall Pizza, they may deliver-not sure.“

“This was one of the few places open early afternoon around 4pm, which was one of the only times my wife and I were available to have a date meal. This met all expectations, it was not busy (at that time we had the place to ourselves), food was delicious. I listened to the recommendations from the waitress and was not disappointed. We had the biscuit service, marinated crab claws, pulled duck and grits, wine. Highly recommend. Location is odd, seems to be just another house in a neighborhood, parking is available in a little lot nearby.Parking: Small parking lot around the back and side just a small bit down the block.“

“This bar was full of people! They had a decent happy hour drink menu. Everyone was double fisted. You seat yourself and go order your food from a walk up kitchen area in the back and then do the same at the bar. When crowded it can seem like a lot. Luckily the couple seated next to us gave us the run down, after we had been seated for quite some time. The staff would walk by, speak and clean the dishes that people would place in a bin on the side by the napkins. The food was ok, fried fish and cauliflower and they offer a like spiced ketchup.“

“I absolutely love this place! This little hidden gem is on Old Shell Rd., adjacent from Dew Deop Inn, and let me tell you, this place is amazinggggg!!!! The food is amazing, especially the spinach dip. The spinach dip was the best spinach dip I've ever had. And the bread they have to go with it is sooooo gooooddddddd. The Mid Town Dip is soooo gooodddd as well. The roast beef and the dipping sauce are just perfect!!! The green beans are to die for!!! They are too good. They used to have collard greens that were to die for, but no, the green beans are just too good and perfect!!!! This place is just a vibe. It used to be a pharmacy, but it has that kind of an old timey feel to it with a modern twist. And Elizabeth was freaking amazing. She was so sweet, kind, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. She was so friendly and personable. She talked to us, gave us some amazing suggestions, and she was just so nice. She is honestly one of the best bartenders we've ever had/encountered. She's just one of those people that you would love to be friends with, you know? Nixon's also has a lot of good beers on tap, too. The Blue Steel beer was phenomenal and a great suggestion from Elizabeth!!! 10/10 definitely recommend this place!!“

“This is the best lounge in Mobile! The live bands are excellent for a night of music, food and drinks. The atmosphere gives off a warm, pleasant vibe. The courtyard is perfectly decorated and another area to just chill with friends and enjoy music, drinks, food and the night sky. Having trouble getting a drink at the front bar? Don't worry, they also have another bar towards the back with a cigar lounge. This place is a 10 out of 10 and a gem to the great city of Mobile, AL.“

“Y'all, this place is a vibeeee!!!! Macy, I think that was her name, she was freaking awesome and the best bartender ever. She had great customer service, she was hilarious, and she was just a mood, she was absolutely great!! The bar has a great atmosphere, great vibes, and great energy. It's a cool bar to just sit and chill or watch a game. They have plenty of tvs, and they have an outside patio where you can sit, smoke, play table tennis, or swing on the chairs. 10/10 definitely recommend. This is now my new favorite bar. Also, when Mardi Gras rolls back around, this is definitely where I will be. The Ice Box Bar is on the Mardi Gras route, so that just adds to how amazing this place is!!!“
