“This was our first time visiting Casa Ortiz. We ordered the chips, salsa, cheese dip, shrimp fajitas with rice and beans. The service was friendly and fast, which we appreciated.

The restaurant has a more cozy, quiet atmosphere - there wasn’t any music playing - so it felt a little like you couldn’t talk much without everyone hearing, which may appeal to some but wasn’t quite our vibe.

Food-wise, the fajita vegetables had great flavor, and the rice was very fluffy and almost melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, the shrimp were rubbery and fairly flavorless.

Prices were a bit high for us, with all entrées starting around $13 and kids menu $8.99, so we likely would only return when lunch specials are served. That said, we wish them the absolute best and hope they continue to do well!“

“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Clanton. Food is great and people are too. I don't like bell peppers in my food. I prefer jalapeños. Everyone puts bell but these people cook my food with jalapeños and do it with a smile. Also prices haven't skyrocketed like every where else. About the only place in town where you can feed 3 people and not have to stop for a loan on the way there. Keep up the great work.“

“I siting my brother and he took us all to one of his favorite restaurants. I wasn’t expecting much since I live in New Mexico. I ordered the Chile Relleno meal and was so surprised and how delicious the meal was one of my brothers ordered the Huevo con Chorizo and he said it was the best he had ever had. I highly recommend this place if you are in Clanton, AL.“
