“The coffee is very good I normally get the simple hot latte. Often dropping by here after I have been driving around Mt. Brook / Cahaba Heights area to feel better about myself. When I go there is always a lot of Gen Z in there studying or conversing with friends with the occasional millennial who thinks they can still hang with Gen Zers. The other thing I have noticed is that not only does everyone who works here but also the patrons dress like they are living in a decade of the 1900s. Some opt for overalls for a 1930s look, others wear a hawaiian type shirt that resembles the 70s/80s, while many girls go for a 1950s or 60s dress some opt for an adidas jumpsuite for a 90s vibe. One girl even had her hair in the 1940s wartime cloth.“

“The location is close to my home, so it's convenient, but I don't think I would go out of my way to visit otherwise. My experiences have been with the Patchworks Farms location only, and it's possible other locations are different. For a coffee shop, I feel it's way too loud of an environment likely due to the high ceilings. It's hard to have a meeting or conversation when there are a number of folks there. There are more "private" booths, but they are almost never available. The coffee/tea is OK. Not earth shattering, IMO, but that's just my taste. The pastries/muffins are always decent, as is the Conecuh biscuit. I skip the other food items as they are bland.Lately I've taken a couple extra minutes and went to another local shop up the street. Smaller, quieter, and a better environment for a 1:1 meeting.“

“Visiting the area and decided to stop here for a quick caffeine boost one morning. I’m usually seeking out coffee shops that also have a nice selection of hot teas, with the London fog latte being my go-to. They were out of Earl grey when I went which was a bummer but I ended up getting the pistachio rose flavored iced coffee and it was good. The rose was very strong- which I enjoyed but if you like a subtle flavor profile be sure to try something else or maybe ask for less syrup than they usually use. It was packed and there weren’t a lot of places to sit and enjoy our coffees, but we took them to go. Overall a good experience and I would love to come back at some point to try a London fog latte.“

“Love this place! It’s like a little trip to Paris. Small but well appointed with big windows, minimalist decor. Awesome wallpaper in bathroom! Decor complete with retro map of Paris. Great coffee/tea and delicious pasteries-flaky, fresh, cute and delish ✅. Staff is friendly and helpful. And free drip Fridays; buy a pastry/get a free drip coffee. As a busy realtor, I live to set up client meetings at places like this to showcase what our lively little city has to offer. This is what makes it fun to live in the ‘ham.“

“Fantastic coffee and fantastic food. The staff is all lovely and the atmosphere is great. Seriously, come here if you want good coffee! My only complaint is the distribution of tasks behind the scenes. For whatever reason the manager or owner, the gentleman with the gray goatee, is taking orders often. I'll be honest, this guy does not have customer service skills, and if you aren't generous in your interpretation of his communication skills he seems a bit rude. No smiling, no customer service platitudes, cuts you off mid sentence because he is only going to communicate in the order of the POS system, and he also hardly makes any eye contact with the guest. The bones of this business are too good to be squandered by having somebody without customer service skills be the person directly interacting with the customers. I'm saying this as genuinely as I can with no ill will towards this man I'm sure he's great at a lot and I applaud him for running the business as well as he seemingly is but as a manager or as an owner you need to understand where your strengths are. I'm putting all five stars because I'm rooting for y'all, and I hope this feedback is helpful.“
