We could tell from the reviews and from the location that this place was going to be a dive which was what we were looking for. Located near the track - totally fits the neighborhood and the food exceeded our expectations. Had the daily special 2 piece catfish with 2 sides. I was a little worried it would not be enough. We stopped in for a quick bite, not expecting much but tired of trying to find parking downtown. Everything was fresh and cooked well, classic fried fish and shrimp without any fuss.
Best catfish! Tastes great and has good breading. Philly cheese steak was also excellent. For sides, the fried green tomatoes or rice & beans were the best! The coleslaw was a pass though.Employees are very nice and helpful.
