About Fortunate Forest Chinese Restaurant

Fortunate Forest Chinese Restaurant is a long-standing and reliable dining option in Little Rock, known for its beautiful interior and good service. The restaurant has been a favorite for many locals for over 20 years, offering a clean, renovated space with friendly staff. Customers appreciate the quick service, especially for carryout, with orders like shrimp fried rice prepared efficiently, although some note a slight burnt aftertaste. The hot and sour soup is often highlighted as the best in Little Rock, praised for its warmth, rich dark color, and appealing sweet-sour flavor.

However, opinions on the food vary. Some find the dishes to be bland or not as well-seasoned, with chicken rice noodles sometimes described as salty and lemon chicken as heavily breaded and less tasty. Despite this, certain items like shrimp egg foo young receive high praise for their large, plentiful shrimp and unique vegetable presentation. The restaurant's egg rolls and table duck sauce are also favorites among diners.

While the ambiance and service are often lauded as excellent, some customers express disappointment over limited utensil availability and perceived stinginess, especially when dining in cars or ordering with limited cash options. Overall, Fortunate Forest remains a popular spot for Chinese-American cuisine, appreciated for its consistency, friendly atmosphere, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

It was honestly super super tasty but our chefs beef with peanut and onions had no onions 😭
To go vegetarian order!

I really like their tofu. They use soft tofu instead of firm tofu for their general Tso's tofu dish.

White rice is ok.

Stir-fried stringbeans is solid. Highly recommend this restaurant.
It's all about the value and nice, friendly, and helpful staff.
It's pretty relaxed.
It may not be super high end but, if you don't mind me mixing metaphors, it punches above it's price bracket.
