I stopped by Captain D’s tonight and ordered a family meal to go. As I reached for my money purse, I noticed a container of coconut water has leaked all over my purse. The cashier has noticed it and immediately offered to transfer it in a large cup, gave me a lid and straw to go with it. Tee Tee offered to help without hesitation and with a big smile on her face. Captain D's offers tasty chicken nuggets, side orders, and senior specials. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is hot and plentiful, with highlights being the fish, shrimp, and hush puppies. The coleslaw is also enjoyable. The general manager was very pleasant and the restaurant smelled very clean. However, the building is very rundown and could use some serious serious updates and renovation as it has a lingering greasy feeling. The paint on the outside is peeling. The atmosphere is generally pleasant but can be marred by loud background noise.
