My friends and I traveled up to Arizona from Oklahoma for spring break and decided for our last night we would eat at this restaurant. A few of us decided to order drinks and of course provided state IDs when asked because we are well of age. Our IDs were checked not once, but twice. Our appetizer came out while we were waiting on drinks. Then our main courses came out, and we were still waiting on drinks. We asked if we could get the drinks we ordered and that’s when the server relayed the information that they “couldn’t do that” because our IDs were not horizontal. They didn’t bother to tell us this before we had to initiate the conversation. We haven’t had any issues anywhere else, so this was pretty shocking. Currently waiting on the bill, it’s been 15 minutes so far.

Can't say enough about this tcked away gem! The food was amazing, and the service was next to none. Drinks were on par, and the atmosphere was perfect!

1899 bar & grillDIAMOND, yes a beautiful gem. I can’t believe this place wasn’t packed. It is off the beaten track, and the signage is not very good, but I would definitely recommend. From the first step into the restaurant, we knew it was the right choice. The hostesses were great. They picked the perfect table for us. We ordered a bottle of vine. I had the pork chop with potatoes and vegetables, delicious, Cornish was also ordered at the table, and my husband ordered a steak that was cooked amazing and perfect! Melody, Chef Rob, Makayla, Alana and Anaya you were all amazing! Chef Rob, Congratulations on getting the perfect flavors with the perfect meats. I can’t wait to come back for another scrumptious meal. OPPS! I almost left out how good the crème brûlée was. A perfect crust!I WOULD RECOMMEND

Granted we showed up 15 minutes before closing but we ordered the food to go as we were staying across the street. I ordered the flat iron steak medium. I was cold, rock hard, and very well done. It was obvious this steak was already cooked before we showed up because the food was out 5 minutes after ordering and already cold. It was so hard it was nearly impossible to cut or chew. What a waste of $30.

Being forgotten for 20 minutes was not the best. Order delivery confusion for both entrees and drinks. The free dessert was nice as was the 10% discount on our entrees, we appreciate that there was an honest effort to correct their mistakes.
We had a party of 7 and they sat us in a private room with a large table which was a much appreciated surprise. It was quiet, we all had plenty of room to eat and could hear each other talk. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and we ordered a few of his suggestions, let's say we were not disappointed especially the huge pretzel and cheese appetizer, Amazing! Most of our party had steak or fish all cooked to perfection. bonus they had a vegan zoodle dish that I almost got but decided on the fish instead, I'll try it next time. The ease of reserving a table ahead of time, the menu, the friendly and knowledgeable staff we will return every year we visit the ❄️ ?

We had an amazing experience at 1899 pub and Grill. Very modern decor for an historical building but it works. Our service was fantastic. I had the steak with broccolini and smashed potatoes. That was over the top and cooked perfectly! my son had the mac & cheese with the Carne Asada. We split the spinach dip for an appetizer and it was perfect. Homemade chips, not too salty creamy dip not too heavy. We will definitely visit this restaurant on the Neyou campus again, it was amazing. The wine was also very good!

We sat at the bar ...what a nice restaurant! The food was delicious! Jordan and Paige served us at the bar and they were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and so much fun! What a great evening! Highly recommend!

The service was good, but the portions were shocking. We ordered the broccolini as my side and you get about 2.5 sticks.. husband ordered the steak and it was about 2 ounces of meat. The chicken sandwich was good, but would not recommend and won't be back.

Food was nothing to write home about. I found out this place is owned by Sodexo, the food distribution company for the university food courts. So basically overpriced cafeteria food. However, Jordan who works the bar did an incredible job. Top notch service.

We were celebrating a graduation and they put us in the private room . The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great and relaxing. Our server Ryan was wonderful and helped us make this an extra special evening.
