We could smell the food from this restaurant as we were arriving to our hotel. We thought we would try it before we left town. The restaurant is beautiful. We were seated immediately. There were only a few tables in the restaurant. Our server was very friendly but it did take him a while to take our order. The table next to us complained that their order still wasn't taken and another person took their order and said their ticket would have a discount. They ended...
1899 is a lovely place, feels unique and has a great atmosphere. The steaks are unfortunately pretty subpar unless you’re a huge fan of char. I consider myself someone who usually enjoys it a lot myself, but on this occasion I tasted little else. I’ve heard the burgers are excellent, and the appetizers we tried were amazing, so I would still recommend trying this place.
My husband, toddler and I stopped here just after getting into town from the Valley. We were having an early dinner at 4:30p so the place wasn’t too busy. The service was great - staff was very attentive, friendly and timely. I got the blackened fish tacos and a glass of red wine (conundrum) which was on happy hour (every day 3-6).
