Little America Travel Center is a well-known rest stop for travelers and truckers looking for comfort during their journey. The facility provides amenities such as laundry services, a spacious dining area, and well-maintained bathrooms. The food served is prepared well, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Travelers particularly enjoy the large private showers with a separate tub, which are clean, modern, and offer a relaxing experience, especially after long days of hiking or driving. The showers cost $18, which many find worth the price given their size, cleanliness, and hot water.
The restaurant at the travel center features a good variety on the menu and provides attentive customer service. Guests appreciate the beautifully decorated grounds, especially during Christmas time, and there is plenty of parking available for semis, cars, and RVs. Although the laundry room is small, it is well-maintained, and the break room offers comfortable seating and a large TV, making it a pleasant place for travelers to rest and share stories.
Overall, Little America Travel Center is a clean, friendly place to relax, recharge, and enjoy comfortable amenities on the road. Some visitors have suggested adding an electronic payment option for laundry services to improve convenience. The travel center has a solid old school feel and is even recognized as the filming location of the infamous gas tank scene from the 1982 film VACATION, with the island and gas pump still on location.
